The final Premier League weekend of the season is here, as all twenty teams feature in Sunday’s slate, thus giving us more choice than usual. Admittedly, there is very little to play for this weekend as Leicester City have already completed the seemingly impossible task of winning the Premier League title. Whilst at the other end of the table, it has already been confirmed that Newcastle, Norwich and Aston Villa will be playing Championship soccer next campaign. Despite there being very little to play for, it should still make for an exciting day of soccer and it’ll inevitably provide us with an opportunity to make some money.

Hugo Lloris – DK $3,900
Opponent – Newcastle
I mention every week that a strong goalkeeper is important and that’s no different this weekend. Hugo Lloris undoubtedly offers the best value of the goalkeepers in this slate at a cheap price of $3,900. Tottenham face the already relegated Newcastle United on Sunday and a victory and a clean sheet would secure Lloris an extra 10 points on top of those he earns throughout the match. In my opinion, there’s a good chance of Lloris earning all 10 points because a victory would result in Tottenham finishing above their rivals, Arsenal, therefore they still have a little something to play for.
Joe Hart – DK $4,200
Opponent – Swansea City
A victory for Manchester City on Sunday and they’ll be guaranteed a top 4 finish this season and subsequently, Joe Hart is a good option in goal. Manchester City face Swansea City who happen to be one of the weaker sides in the Premier League and therefore an away victory is the most likely outcome. Furthermore, this is Manuel Pellegrini’s final match in charge of Manchester City and as a result, I suspect his players will give their all on one final occasion to finish his reign in charge on a high. This is significant because Joe Hart will receive 10 points if Manchester City manage to beat Swansea to nil.
Hector Bellerin – DK 4,200
Opponent – Aston Villa
Hector Bellerin faces one of the worst sides in Premier League history at home this weekend and has a great opportunity to score a lot of points. The Spaniard has averaged a very respectable 7.7 points per game this season, but I’m expecting him to outscore his average on the final day of the season. Aston Villa will inevitably sit back and play for the 0-0 draw and this will give Bellerin numerous opportunities to get forward and score some valuable points.
Glen Johnson – DK 2,400
Opponent – West Ham United
Glen Johnson has been out of action for a long period of time, but has had a good couple of weeks in training and is available for selection this weekend according to his manager, Mark Hughes. Before his injury, Johnson had averaged 7.4 points per game, which is significantly better than what you’d expect from a player valued at just $2,400. The Englishman is an attacking full back and as a result is a good point-scorer and at $2,400 is an obvious selection this weekend.
Son Heung-Min – DK 3,900
Opponent – Newcastle
Dele Alli is suspended for this fixture and as he did last week, Son Heung-Min will come into the Tottenham starting line-up. Son hasn’t featured much this season, hence the $3,900 price tag, but as he’s likely to start, the South Korean international offers excellent value at such a cheap price. Son is capable of being a good point-scorer on DraftKings, he has goals in his locker, he’s scored nine goals in all competitions this season despite starting very few matches. Moreover, he scored 11 times in 30 appearances for Bayer Leverkusen last season and there’s every chance he’ll got a goal against one of the worst defences in the League on Sunday.
Ross Barkley – DK 5,500
Opponent – Norwich
Onto another good option in midfield, Ross Barkley who is priced at a very fair $5,500. Barkley has averaged 12 points per game this season, which is more than the majority of midfielders. He’s a capable goalscorer, he’s scored 12 goals in 45 appearances in all competitions this season and has also recorded eight assists. There’s a good chance Barkley adds to his goalscoring tally this weekend versus Norwich who are a very poor side defensively. Norwich have already been relegated and as a result may be a little flat on Sunday.
Olivier Giroud – DK 5,900
Opponent – Aston Villa
It has been a general rule of mine to field the striker who faces Aston Villa recently and it has proved to be successful. Villa are the worst team in the Premier League by some distance, they’ve conceded a whopping 72 goals this season and Arsenal and Giroud in particular should have plenty of chances to score. Giroud has scored 21 goals in all competitions this season and has assisted six in total and therefore is a very good point-scorer.
Sergio Aguero – DK 7,900
Opponent – Swansea City
Manchester City are one of the few teams that have something to play for on Sunday, therefore I’m expecting a winning performance to secure a top 4 finish. Sergio Aguero tends to play a big role in any winning performance that Manchester City produce and I assume that’ll be the same again this weekend versus Swansea. The Argentine has scored an astonishing 24 goals in 28 Premier League appearances this campaign and has averaged 13.4 DraftKings points per game and that can only be bettered by a select few players this season.
Theo Walcott – DK 4,200
Opponent – Aston Villa
Theo Walcott is by no means a guaranteed starter for Arsenal this weekend but should he start, he’s a must have at $4,200 against Aston Villa. Walcott could start in a number of positions, but regardless of where he does start (if he does), he’ll inevitably score plenty of points versus Villa who are hopeless. Walcott is very capable of scoring goals, he’s scored nine this season despite very few opportunities to start matches. Moreover, he’ll be looking to impress Roy Hodgson on one final occasion to try an earn a spot in England’s Euro 2016 squad.
Anthony Martial – DK 6,400
Opponent – Bournemouth
Finally, we have Manchester United forward, Anthony Martial who has proved to be one of the signings of the season. The Frenchman scored two goals in his most recent start against West Ham United and this weekend he faces easier opposition in the form of Bournemouth. Bournemouth are a very poor side defensively, only Aston Villa have conceded more goals than they have, therefore we should expect Manchester United and Martial to have opportunities to score a few in this match.
