Stacking in DFS MLB is such an important concept if you’re looking to take down a big tournament on FanDuel or DraftKings. It’s also a good way to diversify cash games because the variance in baseball can mean wild swings (ahem) in the scoring on a particular slate. The concept is easy. You want to pile players from one or two teams into your lineups because those guys compound scores by helping each other score runs when the going is good.
Pitching Targets
Note: We have already discussed Aaron Nola and Hisashi Iwakuma in our main artcle. In this article we will discuss a few other options, mostly GPP options.

It's always tough to fade Jake Arrieta, but I feel comfortable doing just that today (in tournaments) and going with hard-throwing right-hander Corey Kluber. He will be going up against the Minnesota Twins, who have been below average against righties this season. They own a .305 wOBA (21st in MLB), 91 wRC+ (23rd in MLB) and .155 ISO (18th in MLB). Not only do they struggle creating runs and getting on base, but they also strikeout a ton. They possess a 22.9 K% (8th in MLB), which is perfect for any pitcher; especially Kluber.
Now it's time to talk about Kluber. Since 2015, Kluber has been dominant with a 2.92 FIP. He also owns a 27.2 K% to go along with a 22.0 K-BB%. He has tremendous upside with his ability to fan a ton of hitters and also not walking many. This is the perfect matchup for the 30-year-old as he will be going up against a Twins' team that strikes out a ton. Don't be surprised if he scores more fantasy points than Arrieta today.
Opponent - NYY (Nova) Park - @NYY
FD - 30.25 DK - 15.58
He will be lower-owned as he was listed day-to-day and will be playing in Yankee Stadium. In my opinion, Jose Quintana is the most underrated player in the MLB. He owns a 3.00 ERA, which is backed up by a 2.99 FIP. He also owns a 21.1 K%, which shows us that Quintana has some upside. We all saw what Chris Sale did to the Yankees last night, and I would not be surprised if Quintana came up with similar numbers tonight. This guy is a beast.
As for the Yankees, they have struggled offensively this season, especially against left-handed pitching. They own a .298 wOBA (24th in MLB), 87 wRC+ (24th in MLB) and .114 ISO (26th in MLB). Playing in Yankee Stadium has not helped their offensive numbers, and I expect tonight to be no different. Like I mentioned before, Quintana will be one of the lower-owned pitchers on the slate, so go ahead and plug him in some tournament lineups.

Honestly, Aaron Nola is my favorite pitcher on the slate, but I love Carlos Martinez for tournaments.Carlos Martinez was pulled out of his start last Friday due to (Fatigue) and will be making his first start since the injury tonight. "Baby Pedro" was pushed back a few days, as Matheney wanted his young pitcher to get some extra day's of rest, but look for him to have no limitations tonight. He will be going up against the Dodgers, who have not been all that to start the year.
The Dodgers own a .300 wOBA (24th in MLB), 86 wRC+ (26th in MLB) and .129 ISO (27th in MLB). I know this Dodgers' lineup looks scary and is making a ton of money, but they are simply not performing. They also own a 21.4 K% (12th in MLB), which gives "Baby Pedro" some upside.
Carlos Martinez has been dominant since 2015 and has a bright future ahead of him. He owns a 2.94 ERA to go along with a 3.32 FIP. He also has that upside we look for in a pitcher, as he possesses a 23.7 K%. Besides having some sweet numbers and a nice matchup, being Pedro Matinez' protege makes me only like this kid even more (especially tonight with no true aces taking the bump). I know " The Todd Father" is an excellent nickname, but I think "Baby Pedro" is giving Frazier's nickname a run for his money.
So yeah, baseball season! And we've got some goodies you can take with you. At the end of the post, we have our MLB eBook that you really ought to check out before setting even a single daily fantasy MLB lineup. It's free, below.
