Stacking in DFS MLB is such an important concept if you’re looking to take down a big tournament on FanDuel or DraftKings. It’s also a good way to diversify cash games because the variance in baseball can mean wild swings (ahem) in the scoring on a particular slate. The concept is easy. You want to pile players from one or two teams into your lineups because those guys compound scores by helping each other score runs when the going is good.
Look, the obvious stacks tonight are going to start in Coors Field with the Pirates and the Rockies. I'm not going to spend much time on those. The pricing is inflated because of the park but a lot of the plays on both sides are still well within range for lineups. Most nights with games in Denver these will be the stacks unless there's an other-worldly arm going or the sites massively overcorrect the salaries. So of course start there. These other stacks are ways to hedge your salary cap, or just fade the game entirely.
Los Angeles Dodgers
I'm expecting the Dodgers to go righty-heavy at the top of the lineup against the lefty Justin Nicolino. The latter's a low K / high xFIP target who could get rocked here. Some of the Dodgers like Enrique (Kike) Hernandez, Yasiel Puig, Justin Turner and Howie Kendrick are coming rather cheap across the industry and DraftKings especially where none of the above listed players are coming over $4K. Even Trayce Thompson and Yasmani Grandal are worth a look a little further down the order. Puig is especially attractive if he's hitting in the two hole. He's coming off a 2015 season that saw him OPS over .900 against lefties with a .393 wOBA. The others aren't as extreme in their platoons but still offer plenty of upside considering the price point.
New York Yankees
It will be interesting to see what lineup the Yankees trot out tonight. The last two times they've faced a lefty Aaron Hicks hit second in the lineup. That would put him in firm punt play territory. He rocked LHP last season to a .375 wOBA in over 100 PAs. Down the lineup you also get Mark Teixeira and Alex Rodriguez who've both performed well in their careers against this split. Yankee Stadium, while known for giving lefties the short porch in right also played well above average for power to righties last season. Martin Perez is walking more batters than he's striking out this season which might be a little run bad, but it isn't like he's a power pitcher missing his spots.
Atlanta Braves
Wait, wait, come back. Hold on a second. Let me explain. Steven Wright has some upside going the other way with pitching and the Braves for sure aren't good. But they are priced at such and Wright is a knuckler who can struggle with control. Nick Markakis at the top of the order has nearly a .400 OBP and Freddie Freeman is running about 40 points off his career average BABIP. Both are priced cheap and there are a couple of other Braves you can take a chance on here. This is a tournament play only. I repeat there is a very low floor here with the Braves. But I don't mind some of them as completely off board because they are well, the Braves.
Toronto Blue Jays
This one doesn't feel great to write about. They are a predominantly righty squad facing a lefty in a hitter's park. And on DraftKings Encarnacion and Bautista are especially affordable. The problem is that Jose Quintana is actually a good pitcher. This season he's sporting a 32.9 xFIP (lagging behind the ERA, but still acceptable) and has shown amazing control walking less than two batters per nine. The K's are up to about 8 per nine and really nothing about his numbers look fluky. This isn't to say the Jays are off the table, they are so good that the platoon advantage is worth a great deal. But I'm not as bullish on them as the rest of the industry might be tonight.

What do you think of a Mets stack? Primarily the lefties? Duda, conforto, walker, Granderson?
I should have included them in the post. I might add right now actually. Which is to say, yes I like them.
Ok thank you very much!
Granderson not starting.
Alert!!! Evan Longoria should be in 75% of your lineups today!!!!!
