What a crazy past three weeks since the last time we had a UFC card! MMA is finally legal in New York and I can't wait to be at the first card in Madison Square Garden! Sadly, DFS is no longer legal in New York so I'm a little stuck. Until then, we can keep giving you all of the info you need to succeed wherever you are, especially when it comes to cards like UFC Fight Night 86. An overseas card in Croatia with a lot of fighters making their UFC debut puts the average fan at a big disadvantage for Daily Fantasy. But let's get beyond the average and find some winners to start this stretch of three straight weeks of fantasy MMA.
Vegas Favorite ($10,500+)
Bojan Velickovic ($10,500)
Vegas Line: -170
Career Record: 13-3
UFC Record: 0-0
Record In Last 5: 4-1
Finishes: 3 KO / 8 Subs / 6 First-Round
Losses by Stoppage: None
Last Time Out: W, 3rd Round Sub - Benjamin Smith
Who? Remember, it's a card in Croatia. Aside from the main event and co-main event, there are tons of guys that even avid MMA fans will be watching for the first time. "Serbian Steel" definitely falls in that list as a UFC newcomer but the submission specialist has eight wins by tap out and is riding a four fight winning streak following a guillotine choke of Benjamin Smith. He also has a favorable matchup against another UFC newbie in Alessio Di Chirico who, despite being undefeated, has faced a bunch of no names that he doesn't put away in the first round.
Mid-Tier Target ($9,500-10,400)
Francis Ngannou ($9,800)
Vegas Line: +115 (This line has jumped all over the place this week)
Career Record: 6-1
UFC Record: 1-0
Record In Last 5: 5-0
Finishes: 3 KO / 3 Subs / 3 First-Round
Losses by Stoppage: None
Last Time Out: W, 2nd Round KO - Luis Henrique Barbosa de Oliveira
Bring on the Heavyweights! Ngannou is 6-1 and has racked up all of his victories via stoppage, including last time out in his UFC debut. Ngannou represents huge value at $9,800 because he could very well land you bonus points for an early victory. Ngannou gets into the cage against Curtis Blaydes, who my spreadsheet just destroys for taking this fight on short notice to make his UFC debut. After not fighting for 10 months, Blaydes gets into the Octagon just two months following his last bout. It's OK though, I don't think Ngannou will let him stay in there for long.
Upset Alert (Under $9,500)
Derrick Lewis ($9,100)
Vegas Line: -140
Career Record: 14-4, 1 No Contest
UFC Record: 5-2
Record In Last 5: 3-0
Finishes: 13 KO / 1 Sub / 5 First-Round
Losses by Stoppage: 2 KO
Last Time Out: W, 1st Round KO - Damian Grabowski
The "Black Beast" is Back! I admittedly love to watch this guy fight and he paid huge dividends two months ago. Lewis is a short notice replacement against the aging Gabriel Gonzaga. I don't see that being too much of an issue as Lewis' last fight lasted only two minutes. 14 pro wins with 14 finishes and judging by the money line, Lewis is now the favorite, the betting public agrees that DraftKings got this salary wrong. Take advantage of Lewis and use him to roster some of the big time favorites if you want, but I'd play him just because I expect him to tear through Gonzaga.

Hoping to get some talk going here this week, weigh-ins are done and I’ve never seen so many guys on one card who have to cut weight to make the 265 lbs Heavyweight limit, should be fun!
There are going to be some titanic knock outs today.
Early start today. Fights start in about 40 minutes. Whoa….
Yea the time change is rough, but better than having the fighters compete at 10am local time like on the Australia PPVs.
Pretty good showing, can’t wait for next week!
Velickovic: Win by Decision
Ngannou: Win by 2nd Rd TKO
Lewis: Win by 1st Rd KO (Destruction is more accurate)
