Welcome to another night of daily fantasy hockey with Daily Fantasy Sports Rankings. We kick off the week with eight games on Monday with no teams playing on back to back nights. With eight games or less for most teams the playoffs are right around the corner and the action is heating up. Only the Washington Capitals have clinched their division with all other divisions up for grabs including all four wild card spots.
If you have any questions throughout the day be sure to join the conversation in the comments section below. Also, be sure to check LeftWingLock to get confirmation on all of the starting goalies for Tuesday. Now onto the picks.
Opponent - COL
FD - 8900 DK - 8200
The Predators look to be a force come playoff time winning three straight and seven of their last 10 games. Rinne should only be considered in cash games as the upside is somewhat limited due to the defense. Over their last seven games the Preds have only given up an average of 25 shots against. Rinne will have a great shot to pick up the win tonight in a home matchup vs. the Avalanche who have lost two straight games and sit near the bottom of the division. With a win the Predators can tie the Blackhawks for 3rd in the Central Division.
Opponent - CGY
FD - 8000 DK - 7200
If you have been playing Smith since he returned from injury then you have been enjoying great play that has come with rock bottom goalie pricing. While his price has climbed nearly $1,000 in the last two weeks, there is still lots of value left. Smith has won four of his five starts since returning March 12 and has not allowed more than two goals in any game. He and the Coyotes get a favorable matchup tonight as they are home favorites to the Calgary Flames who own the leagues worst road record.
Also Consider - Ben Bishop - Tampa Bay Lightning vs. TOR
Opponent - TOR
FD - 8500 DK - 7600
With an eight games late tonight we have plenty of options at the center position but I instantly gravitate to the top and one of the hottest goal scorers over the past two weeks. Stamkos has been on fire scoring in three straight and now has seven goals in his last seven games and has added 26 shots. With the Panthers idle tonight, the Bolts will look to pick up the win and tie for the top spot in the Atlantic Division. They should have no troubles tonight in a juicy matchup at home vs. the Leafs who sit at the bottom of the Eastern Conference.
Stack with - Alex Killorn
Opponent - CGY
FD - 5000 DK - 4200
If you are looking for value at the center position, consider Hanzal tonight in a terrific matchup against the Flames who rank dead last in defense and own the leagues worst road record. Hanzal has been outplaying his salary, especially on DK, for almost a week now. He has points in three straight games and six points (2 on the PP, 1 SH goal) in his previous eight games. The shot volume(26 shots in 10 games) is there, giving him a decent floor on any given night. The Coyotes stack will allow you to spend up on another to line tonight or high end D man if you so choose.
Stack with - Max Domi, Anthony Duclair
Also Consider - Claude Giroux - Philadelphia Flyers vs. WPG
Opponent - CBJ
FD - 9300 DK - 8600
His price has come down dramatically with his recent struggles. He has only scored two goals and totaled five points in his last 10 with zero multi point games. He will never come more affordable than right now so jump on board in GPP's and collect all the prize money. Ovi always provides a high floro as he takes a rediculous amount of shots(362 on the season). He will also provide the biggest upside of any player n the slate tongiht in a favorable home matchup vs. the Blue Jackets who rank 29th in defense. Ovi should finish the season with a little extra motivation as he is only seven goals away from reaching the 50 goal mark for the 7th time in his career.
Stack with - Nicklas Backstrom, Justin Williams
Opponent - EDM
FD - 4600 DK - 4400
Playing alongside the Ducks top players on the first and second line, McGinn has been a tremendous fantasy value since mid March. He has scored five goals(3 on the PP) and added an assist in his last five games with an added 13 shots on goal. He will get a great opportunity to keep the streak alive tonight as the Ducks travel to Edmonton to face the Oilers who rank 27th in defense. The Ducks should have no problem putting goals on the board tonight.
Stack with - Corey Perry, Rickard Rakell
Also Consider - Ondrej Palat - Tampa Bay Lightning vs. TOR
Opponent - WPG
FD - 5300 DK - 6300
The race in the eastern Conference is starting to get really interesting as the Islanders hold the top wild card spot followed by the Red Wings and Flyers who sit tied with 85 points. The Flyers have a game in hand and will need every win they can get to advance to the playoffs. They get a favorable home matchup tonight vs. the Jets who rank 25th in defense and struggle on away from Winnipeg. The Ghost Bear broke out of a two game slump and has points in back to back games and has recorded eight shots in those games. He gets a ton of opportunities as the QB on the powerplay and has already proven he can provide huge offensive upside for fantasy.
Opponent - WAS
FD - 3000 DK - 4000
This play is meant for DraftKings only as he does not provide much, if any, offensive upside. If you are looking to roster multiple star players tonight you will need a punt play to safe some salary cap. Murray provides a fairly stable floor on DK as he has averaged over two shots on goal and 2.5 blocks per game over the last couple weeks which has worked out to an average around 2.5 DK points per game.
Also Consider - Jake Muzzin - Los Angeles Kings @ SJ

Happy Monday everyone!
Update above. Giroux is good to go for tonight. Flyers need a win bad. Tied with Detroit for the final playoff spot in East with a game in hand. Go Flyers!!!!
My favorite stacks for the night are:
WSH1 - I just have a feeling Ovi is going to explode and get to that 50 goal mark.
TB1 - Filppula has joined Stamkos and Killorn with Kucherov out. At least at morning skate.
TB2 - Marchessault joined johnson and Palat
Anh2 - or 1. Whatever line it is . Perry and McGinn and Rakell are hot
PHI1 - Giroux, Simonds, Schenn, Ghost Bear
PHI2 - Contrarian GPP - Raffl, Couturier, Gagner
Hey Chris I'm having a problem with FD on TB1. It's listing Stamkos and Filppula at the C position. I was trying to do TB1 + WSH1. I'm having to do WSH1 with Killorn, Marchessault and Filppula. This allows me to go Burns and Ghostbear with Mike Smith between the pipes. Should I stick with this or mix WSH1 + PHI2 with Burns/GhostBear and Smith?
The TB stack is much safer as the Flyers don't score as much as TB lately and are much more balanced across 3 lines. More likely for multiple points with the first combo with TB2
Sorry I mean it gives you exposure to 1st line and 2nd line on TB who could easily go off for 4+ goals vs. Leafs
I like Oesterle on D...he's cheap and gives you money to spend elsewhere
So wait Chris are you saying WSH1 with TB1 or WSH1 with TB2
I was commenting on yours how I like you have cheap exposure to both.
HELP - I wanted to play Martin Hanzal tonight to save some $$ but all of the line combinations that I can find do not show Hanzal in any of the top lines. Is he on PP only?
Oh ok. Well I changed em. I'm going heavy WSH1 with Killorn, Stamkos and Marchessault. I also have TB2 Palat line with WSH1. Is TB with AZ a good stack?
