The Avalanche also have a huge matchup tonight as they sit just 1 point back of Minnesota in the Western Conference wild car. They travel to Vancouver tonight for matchup vs. the Canucks.

Goaltenders

Semyon Varlamov
Opponent - VAN
FD - 9600 DK - 8000

He is confirmed to be between the pipes for the Avs tonight as they face the Canucks. It's crunch time for the Avs as they sit just one point back of the Wild in the Western Conference wild card with 12 games remaining in the regular season. His performance has been up and down lately as he has gone 5-4-1 in his last 10 games with a .915 save % and one shutout. He has struggled against the Canucks this season losing both games but with the importance of this game you can expect he, and the entire Avs team, will be in top form.

Scott Darling
Opponent - PHI
FD - 7800 DK - 7900

Corey Crawford will get the night off on Wednesday, opening the door for another start for backup Scott Darling. In his last six starts for the Hawks he has gone 4-2 with a .912 save %. Tonight he gets a favorable home mathcup vs. the Flyers who are playing their second game in as many nights and coming off an emotional hard fought win vs. the Red Wings. The Hawks are also the biggest favorites on the board tonight as the Flyers have no won a game in Chicago since back in 2011. He is safe in all formats tonight.

Also Consider - Jake Allen - St. Louis Blues @ EDM

CENTER

Jack Eichel
Opponent - MON
FD - 6300 DK - 6100

The Sabres second overall pick has been really coming in to his own this season. He has recorded 22 goals and 26 assists to this point while playing around 19 minutes of ice time per game. He is looking to close out the season strong and has been hot lately with points in five of his last six games and has tallied 25 shots on goal in that time. The Sabres get a favorable home matchup vs. the Habs playing on back to back nights with not much left to play for as the regular season comes closer to an end.

Stack with - Evander Kane, Sam Reinhart

Mark Scheifele
Opponent - CGY
FD - 7300 DK - 5900

The 23 year old center for the Jets is set to record new career highs in points before the end of the season. In his third full season in the NHL he has already passed his career high goals set last year and is three points behind his 2014/15 point total of 49 points which he recorded in a full 82 games. He has missed time this season due to injury and has 46 points in just 58 games played. He provides huge multi point upside and has been red hot lately with 16 points in his last 10 games with 34 shots on goal and a +5 rating. Fire up the Jets top line tonight vs, the Flames who sit dead last in goals allowed per game.

Stack with - Blake Wheeler, Drew Stafford

Also Consider - Nathan Mackinnon - Colorado Avalanche @ VAN

WINGERS

Vladimir Tarasenko
Opponent - EDM
FD - 7800 DK - 7400

The Blues put up a stinker in Calgaary on Monday and should bounce back tonight in Edmonton vs. another poor defensive team. Tarasenko was held off the scoresheet Monday after a three game point streak that saw him pick up two multi point games. He is having another terrific season as the Blues top scorer(33 goals) and with 11 games remaining will have a shot at passing his career high of 73 points from last year.

Stack with - Jori Lehtera, Jaden Schwartz

Jarome Iginla
Opponent - VAN
FD - 5500 DK - 4800

The 38 year old veteran winger is having another productive season in the NHl and has surpassed the 40 point mark for the 17th time in his career. With the suspension to Gabriel Landeskog he will be skating on the top line with Duchene tonight and provides excellent value at t mid range salary. He has tallied seven points(three on the PP) in his last 10 games and has two points in as many games vs. the Canucks already this season.

Stack with - Matt Duchene, Mikhail Grigorenko

Also Consider - Patrick Kane - Chicago Blackhawks vs. PHI

DEFENSE

Mark Giordano
Opponent - WPG
FD - 6600 DK - 7300

Not a whole lot of top end D men to pay up for tonight so I will take a shot with the red hot Giordano. He is coming off a two point game vs. the Blues and has recorded a multi point game in two of his last three games. He has provided a very high floor lately as well as he has been averaging over 3.5 shots on goal per game over his last 10 games. He draws a favorable matchup tonight at home vs. the Jets who have been awful on the road and rank 26th in goals allowed per game.

Erik Johnson
Opponent - VAN
FD - 3700 DK - 5600

He makes a very low end GPP punt play on FanDuel with points in each of his last two games but he is not an offensive threat and a minus player for the season.  He does make a great cash game play on DraftKings as he provides added value with blocked shots. He currently sits top 10 in the league as he averages over 2.5 per game.

Also Consider - Kevin Shattenkirk - St. Louis Blues @ EDM

  1. Thank you guys for the advice and I had a pretty moderate night last night winning a quintuple up and 4th place in a league. I’m doing the same thing. A quintuple up and 3 max league.

L1- COL line (ignia) + STL line (Tarasenko) + Giordano/Pietrangelo and Darling

    L2- CHI1 +COL line (Ignia) + Johnson/Rista and Allen

L3- JETS (Wheeler line) + STL (Tarasenko) + Ghost/Gustaffson and Varlamov

I’m looking to win bigger than I did this past weekend thank you guys.

  2. Snapped the win streak last night looking to get back on track here.

Schiefele. Dano. Gaudreau. Foligno. Schwartz.Shat.Gio.Varly and Barbeiro.

    50/50

  3. Justin – I like your lineups above and all have merit.

Here is my 50/50 for tonight:
    E. Kane, Panarin, Iginla, P. Kane, Eichel, Duchene, Barberio, Beauchemin and Darling

    Tourney:
Gaudreau, Panarin, P Kane, Ferland, Monahan, Anismov, Shatterkirk, Barberio and Darling.

Likely have a couple more GPP lineups a bit later.

    • Thank you. I will be using your lineup Robinson. You haven’t steered me wrong yet

  4. Made a change to my 50/50 for tonight:

Putting O’Reilly in for Eichel as he is playing on a line with Kane tonight – first game back from injury. This also freed up a ton of cap space, so I am swapping Darling for Varlamov………just wanted to give everyone a heads up.

    • I dont know ehat lineups you all using but it cant be the ones youre listing cause those arent doing anything. In 50/50 or gpp. I ve lost every game in the last week using these lineups!! Sorry to say!!!

  5. Also made a change to 50/50 on draft kings

Schiefele. Dano. Gaudreau. Baertschi. Schwartz.Shat.Gio.Allen and Barbeiro

Good luck again fellas. Let’s cash!

  6. Sorry for the limited input today everyone. I have a sick 2 year year old that won’t let me detach her making it difficult to type. LOL.

I will have the most exposure to CGY1 & GIO and love WPG 1 as well in the same game and think you could even do a complete game stack in GPP.

I also love St. Louis and CHI to rebound after bad losses last time out. only thing that scares me about CHI is that PHI is playing great and CHI has struggled for about a week. I am a Flyer fan and will have one lineup with Griroux/Simmonds/Schenn/Ghost Bear as they should be low owned.
