Tournament time is upon us, and I for one couldn’t be more excited. Postseason college basketball is arguably the most exciting time in all of sports, so why not amp up the excitement a little bit with some daily fantasy college basketball? I mean hey, even if you don’t have a favorite college team, everyone likes winning some extra cash right? We’ve got two pretty sizable slates coming up today so let’s get to it.

Dorian Finney-Smith
FD - 8900 DK - 7700
This is what I wrote for Finney-Smith for yesterday’s game, and it pretty much holds true. If Egbunu doesn’t play again, Finney-Smith is a must play in my book.
Finding players who will get a bump in usage and potentially minutes due to injury is always beneficial in DFS, and Dorian Finney-Smith should be able to take advantage of that very situation. John Egbunu is doubtful for Thursday’s game, making Finney-Smith far and away the best Florida option down low. This guy has been very consistent as of late, scoring over 22 FD points in 8 of his last 10 games, making him a pretty safe option even without the injury situation. Arkansas has a terrible team defense, Finney-Smith put up 22 points and 9 rebounds against the Razorbacks in their last meeting, and the increased usage should make for a big game.
Yogi Ferrell
FD - 8200 DK - 8200
Another guy I really like is Yogi Ferrell, the senior PG from Indiana. He’s really come into his own this year, leading Indiana in scoring and assists while leading them to the Big Ten regular season title. Since his backcourt mate Robert Johnson went down with an injury, Ferrell has been averaging 20.5 ppg and has scored over 27 FD points in all 4 of the games he’s played in. Michigan has a pretty stout defense, but Ferrell is a guy who can get his regardless of the matchup.
Ben Simmons
FD - 11700 DK - 11800
I’ve always resisted the urge to play Ben Simmons because his price is just so absurdly high, but I feel like he at least deserves a mention because he may very well be worth the price tag tonight. This guy has been the best college basketball player (statistically) this year, and he’s put up at least 40 FD points in 8 of his last 10 contests. Simmons didn’t have a great game against Tennessee in their last matchup, but I think that’s more of an anomaly than a trend. No one can guard this kid and LSU relies on him to do pretty much everything. He’s got a steep price tag, but he’s nearly a lock for 40 points on FD so if you can scrape together the money to play him, I’d give him a look.
Antonio Blakeney
FD - 6900 DK - 6100
My favorite mid-priced guy on the slate is LSU’s number two option, Antonio Blakeney. He’s a guy who’s been getting a ton of usage and minutes ever since Keith Hornsby got injured, and his price tag has gone up, but not enough to reflect his value. Since Hornsby went down, he’s averaging over 22 ppg, and has hit at least x3 value in every game. Tennessee doesn’t have a very stout defense, and should be a little fatigued since they played yesterday so I like Blakeney in all formats today, and especially on DraftKings.
Devin Robinson
FD - 5700 DK - 5000
Again, wrote this about Robinson yesterday and he didn’t have a great game, but did well enough to warrant another mention.
Another guy who benefits from the injury to John Egbunu is Devin Robinson. He already starts for Florida, but with the injury to Egbunu I’m anticipating that he’ll get a bump in minutes and usage. He’s been on a relatively hot scoring streak as of late, posting more than 10 points in his last 5 games. There’s no reason to think that this trend won’t continue, and I’ll definitely have Robinson in all of my lineups today.
Zak Irvin
FD - 9600 DK - 6900
I feel like I’m cheating now, but I wrote this for Irvin yesterday and it holds true as well.
Finally, a guard makes an appearance on our picks. Irvin isn’t a guy who’s likely to go out and drop 30, but he’s getting a ton of minutes in Michigan’s depleted backcourt, and he gets his fantasy value from other areas. He’s averaging almost 5 rpg and 3 apg on the season, to go along with his 11 ppg, so he’s got a relatively safe floor. I don’t love the matchup with Northwestern, but I like the price too much to pass on a guy like Irvin.
Jaylen Bond
FD - 6700 DK - 6500
I don’t love Jaylen Bond because he can be inconsistent at times, but I feel like I have to at least mention him given his upside potential. His inconsistency has kept his price relatively low, but if you can catch him on a good day he pays, big time. Over his last ten games, he’s got 5 games where he’s payed higher than x4 on FanDuel (which is incredibly good value for CBB). I like the matchup against a weak South Florida team, and considering Bond went for 18 points and 14 rebounds against them in their last meeting, I think he’s going to have a big game today.
Detrick Mostella
FD - 4900 DK - 4400
Tennessee’s backcourt rotation can be pretty unpredictable, and I’ve been burned by it a few times over the past couple of weeks. With that being said, I think they’ve finally settled on a fairly consistent rotation, and the price for Mostella has not even come close to adjusting. Over his last 3 games (since he saw a big bump in minutes), he’s paid over x3 once, and over x5 twice. College coaches usually reward production with increased minutes and usage, so I don’t see either of these things being an issue for Mostella. He’s taken 30 shots in his last 2 games, and for a guy priced near the minimum, the opportunity here is big.
Nick Zeisloft
FD - 4600 DK - 4600
I don’t really love Zeisloft, but he’s practically a minimum priced guard who’s a lock for over 30 minutes, so he’s difficult to pass up on entirely. In his 3 games since getting a huge increase in minutes, he’s gone over x3 value twice and over x4 value in the other game. This is really one of those cases where opportunity far outweighs price, and even though I don’t love the matchup with Michigan, I think Zeisloft could have some good success in a game that I expect to be pretty high scoring.
