Daily Fantasy Basketball Injury News and Updates for FanDuel and DraftKings - 2/26/16

Welcome to the daily updates and injury news article. We'll try and update it right up to line-up locks with as much information as comes across our desks. Let's get to it!

Last night's picks can be found here, so you can wrap your mind around what you need to be looking at before lineups lock tonight.

By the way - we keep our projection system updated with all of the changes as they occur throughout the day right up until lineup lock. Every day. If you want access to that system so you can cut out a lot of the research element, click the button below!

Now let’s look at some news that’s come in throughout the day to see if anything’s changed in our minds or in the NBA landscape. It's a shorter slate and a light news day, but we'll be updating as stuff rolls in. Also throw out some ideas in the comments and we can take it from there.

What We Know

Rodney Stuckey is expected to play
It's hard to say how many minutes he's going to take, given that it's his first game now. A lot has changed since Stuckey went down for the Pacers. Myles Turner is playing more than twice as many minutes now than he was, for instance. For now, we've offered downward guidance on Ellis and George Hill. Stuckey's not a risk worth taking at this point, and this might move Ellis from being a "super safe" play, to a little more speculative.

Chris Paul - FD 9800 DK 9600
Opponent - SAC
FD Proj. Pts - 44.12 DK Proj. Pts - 46.01
Chris Paul is playing. He suffered a little arm woes in the 4th quarter of his last game, but it didn't seem to cause him a lot of problems. Deploy him as usual.

What We’re Waiting to Know

What's up withRajon Rondo's toe or thumb or whatever
He's been listed as probable for weeks, and this downgrade to questionable is ominous. Darren Collison has already been playing a lot of minutes, so more run would make him a phenomenal play. Keep on eye on this, especially for late-swap sites like DraftKings.

Tony Allen's status
He's being listed as questionable after missing a game where he was active. I'm assuming he'll play limited minutes as best, and like all the Memphis guys as much as I did in their last go-around.

<Pau Gasol and Derrick Rose - playing or not?
Gasol is probable, but Rose was limited in shoot-around. Either of these guys being out would move our minutes and opportunity projections quite a bit. The assumption for now is that Gasol is in, and Rose is still a question mark. If Rose sits, E'Twaun Moore goes way up in value.

The "every lineup" guys

Mike Conley - FD 6900 DK 7200
Opponent - LAL
FD Proj. Pts - 36.05 DK Proj. Pts - 38.24
Matt Barnes - FD 5000 DK 5400
Opponent - LAL
FD Proj. Pts - 25.33 DK Proj. Pts - 27.46
The combination of the Lakers being awful and the Grizzlies having a lot of opportunity to spread around post trade deadline means these guys are under-priced relative to their current opportunity. More minutes, more shots, more production.

Victor Oladipo - FD 6900 DK 7000
Opponent - NYK
FD Proj. Pts - 35.14 DK Proj. Pts - 36.71
The thigh bruise wasn't the reason for a lackluster performance against Golden State - he and the rest of the starters (minus Fournier) lost a pile of minutes as the game got out hand. Should be a much more competitive game with the Knicks, and he seems like one of the safest guys on the board at any position.

  • Shame so many of the GTD are well after the 7pm lock for FanDuel. Rondo sits and SAC has some juicy plays. Same with some guys in the Chicago game depending on what Rose does. Same for Tony Allen. If he suddenly plays and runs 20+ minutes alters things a little.

  • Rose out means I can start Russell at pg Moore at sg and I can fit cousins and James in.

  • I burned myself pivoting off of a clipper SG to go to E'Twaun. I swear I can't get that guy right. I also played Myles Turner in a few LU's and he got owned by Marvin Williams. Hopefully I can still cash as Im very heavy in the late games. I rolled the dice on Rondo not playing locking em in on FD before news came out.

  • So far so good. Up around 200 with Russell, Conley, Crawford and Barnes still to go.

Will... with Moore I tend to go the other way. I like him when Rose plays because seems like they get McDermot more minutes when Rose sits and Moore seems to be a much better assist guy when paired with Rose. When Rose sits I go Pau and fade Moore.
