The Super Bowl and NFL football are now over and we now have more time for daily fantasy hockey. Tonight we are gifted with a huge 12 game slate in the NHL. With nearly every team playing their will be a ton of ways to go when constructing lineups. I normally like to stick to paying up for my goalie, going value at D, and playing a 3-4 team stack for cash games. On these big slates mixing your favorite goalies with a few different stacks around them can give you a better chance at cashing big in GPP tournaments.
The following teams are playing on back to back nights:
Let's dig in to the action and find some core plays for tonight.

During the Blackhawks stretch that has seen them win 3 straight and 7 of their last 10 games, Crawford has been lights out. In his last 10 starts he has gone 8-2 with a .946 save % pushing his season record to 31-12-2 with a .931 save % which ranks Top 5 in the league(at least 10 games played). The Hawks are home favorites vs. the Sharks on Tuesday who have been much better on the road to this point. With that and the high price point, I will only be using Crawford in GPP formats.

The Blues are in a terrific spot on Tuesday as they are big home favorites(-170) to the visiting Jets who struggle on the road. The Blues have also won 8 of the last 10 meetings between these two and including each of the last three. Elliott has been fantastic while filling in for Jake Allen and his last 10 games has gone 6-3-1 with a 943 save percentage. his win totals would be a bit higher if the Blues could provide consistent offense in front of him.
Also Consider - Ben Bishop - Tampa Bay Lightning @ MON

It looks like he is starting to find that early season form as he has picked up 3 goals in 3 games since the All Star break. Even through the mid season struggles he still sits 4th in league points with 56 including 15 on the powerplay. In four games vs. the Wild already this season, he has picked up 5 points with 21 shots and a +5 rating. The salary is back at a spot that makes him a safe choice in all formats.
Stack with - Jamie Benn, Patrick Eaves

Another who has seen his salary drop off in recent weeks. Despite the struggles he is on pace to match or pass his career high in points from his rookie season(2013-14) when he recorded 63 points. With the price being very affordable it makes a great time to jump on board as he carries multi point upside into almost every game. He looks to be coming out of a mini slump as he has recorded assists in two straight games.
Stack with - Matt Duchene, Mikhail Grigorenko, Jarome Iginla(PP)
Also Consider - Artem Anisimov - Chicago Blackhawks

It was very close between Kane and Ovechkin for the top spot at the wing position tonight. I am leaning Kane as he is cheaper on both sites, especially on FanDuel where he is $700 cheaper. He hasn't slowed down post All Star break with points in three straight games and pushed his league leading points total to 76 on the year. In two games against the Sharks this season, Kane has picked up four points on 11 shots with +6 rating. Stacking his line is very affordable and makes a great GPP strategy.
Stack with - Artem Anisimov, Artemi Panarin
Opponent - MON
FD - 6000 DK - 4500
Skating on a line with Stamkos and Namestnikov has pushed Palat's value to the elite status in the daily game. He has recorded 8 points on 19 shots and added a +3 rating which helps on FanDuel. Whether you are stacking him with his linemates or not he makes a great choice against the struggling Habs.
Stack with - Steven Stamkos, Vladislav Namestnikov
Also Consider - Jaromir Jagr - Florida Panthers @ BUF
Opponent - MIN
FD - 5800 DK - 6100
In his second season in the NHL, Klingberg has taken a giant leap forward already passing his points total from last season in 12 fewer games. Despite the inconsistency in the offense, which is to be expected form a young player, he has been a force for the Stars on the powerplay. Of his 43 total points 14 have come with the man advantage. In the Stars previous four games vs. the Wild this season, he has recorded five points. Load up on the Stars in GPP formats tonight.
Opponent - BOS
FD - 4400 DK - 4600
If you are looking for a lower priced option on the point tonight, look no further than Martinez. While he has only recorded five points in his last 10 games, he has added a nice floor adding 15 shots, 26 blocks, four PP points and a +4 rating for the Kings. He gets a plus matchup vs. the Bruins on Tuesday who have been horrible at home this season.
Also Consider - Matt Niskanen - Washington Capitals @ NSH
