The All Star break has created quite a cluttered schedule this week. Just like Tuesday night, there will be another huge 12 game slate and then again on Saturday we will see 12 games. It definitely gives us a ton of options making it ideal to go almost any direction tonight. There are only two teams (Buffalo Sabres & Detroit Red Wings) playing on back to back nights so almost all teams should be well rested and ready to go. Coming out of the break there was key injuries to Alex Ovechkin and Jonathan Toews which forced them to miss a game. News reports I have been reading are showing that both players will return to their respective lineups tonight.

Let's dig in to the action and find some core plays for tonight.

Goaltenders

Roberto Luongo
Opponent - DET
FD - 9400 DK - 8300

He has helped carry the Florida Panthers to an Atlantic Division lead and sit behind only the Capitals in the Eastern Conference. He posted a .930 save % in the first half which ranked 7th among goalies with more than 10 starts and was even better at home posting a 14-6-1 record with .936 save % and three shutouts. He gets a home matchup with the Red Wings who the Panthers have beat 4 of the last 5 meetings.

Cory Schneider
Opponent - TOR
FD - 8800 DK - 8400

New Jersey has always been a hockey town that prides itself in defense and goaltending and this year is no different. Schneider was impressive in the first half going 22-16-5 with a .928 save % which earned him a spot in the All Star game. He carried his early season success over to Tuesday where he made 31 saves on 33 shots to beat the Rangers. the Devils now travel to Toronto to face the Leafs who rank 26th in offense. Schneider has been much better on the road this year going 13-8-2 with a .937 save percentage. He makes a great play in any format tonight.

Also Consider - Braden Holtby - Washington Capitals vs. NYI

CENTER

Tyler Seguin
Opponent - COL
FD - 7900 DK - 8600

The projection system has Seguin as the highest scoring center of the night and it's a great time to jump on board as the price has fallen off lately. He still sits 3rd in points(55) behind only his line mate Jamie Benn and Blackhawk Patrick Kane. It appears the All Star game in which he picked up 3 points kick started his game for the second half as the first game back he picked up 2 goals in a 5-3 against the Jets. He and Benn are the top line combo in the league and present huge upside in a great matchup tonight.

Stack with - Jamie Benn, Patrick Sharp

Brayden Schenn
Opponent - NAS
FD - 5900 DK - 4300

While he has been skating on the second line in Philly his value has come with the man advantage. He centers the top powerplay unit with Claude Giroux, Wayne Simmonds, Jakub Voracek and the Ghost. In his previous four games he has picked up six points, all on the powerplay. The Flyers get another plus matchup tonight vs. the Predators who sit in the bottom 3rd of the league in penalty minutes per game. The Flyers should get multiple opportunities again tonight giving Schenn a ton of upside.

Stack with - Claude Giroux, Jakub Voracek, Wayne Simmonds

Also Consider - Leon Draisaitl - Edmonton Oilers @ OTT

WINGERS

Patrick Kane
Opponent - ARI
FD - 8700 DK - 8700

It has been an outstanding first half for Kane who leads the NHL with 74 points. he has tied his career high with 30 goals and is only 18 points from passing his career high in points(88) that he accomplished back in the 2009-10 season. The Hawks played great out of the break beating the Avs 2-1 on Tuesday with Kane picking up an assist. Surprisingly his salary has dropped $100 on DK where he now sits under $9K on both sites and makes a fantastic elite option tonight.

Stack with - Artemi Panarin, Artem Anisimov

Jordan Eberle
Opponent - OTT
FD - 5600 DK - 4900

The Oilers got a huge boost coming out of the All Star break with their young superstar Connor McDavid getting back in the lineup. He was placed on the second line centering Eberle and Benoit Pouliot. The seen a ton of success in their 5-1 win vs. the Blue Jackets on Tuesday. Eberle picked up a PP goal and an assist and will look to build on that success tonight as the Oilers travel t0 Ottawa to face the Senators in a potential high scoring game.

Stack with - Connor McDavid, Benoit Pouliot

Also Consider - Gabriel Landeskog - Colorado Avalanche vs. DAL

DEFENSE

John Klingberg
Opponent - COL
FD - 5900 DK - 6100

It has been a breakout season for Klingberg who sits 3rd in scoring among D men with 42 points. He has already passed his season total(40) from last season in 14 fewer games. He is the top offensive threat on the point for the Stars and has already posted 14 points on the leagues 5th ranked powerplay. The Stars offense came out of the break hot beating the Jets 5-3 on Tuesday and will look to carry that over into tonight's matchup with the Avalanche.

Jake Muzzin
Opponent - ANA
FD - 5100 DK - 5100

Another defensemen having one of his best offensive season of his career. He started out the year very slow but since the calendar turned to 2016 he has been on fire. In the Kings 14 games in the new year, Muzzin has picked up 12 points and has averaged over a block and around 2.5 shots per game. His price around the industry is still very affordable making him a great play in any format tonight.

Also Consider - Shayne Gostisbehere - Philadelphia Flyers @ NSH
