Russell Westbrook - FD 10800 DK 10400
Opponent - ATL FD Proj. Pts - 47.8 DK Proj. Pts - 49.49
You already know you're going to have to pay top dollar for Russell Westbrook here, but you want to know if it'll be worth it. Though his performance appears more variable with Durant back on the court, Russell's price is coming down to reflect the pairing. What also plays into your favor starting him here is that he goes up against an Atlanta team that ranks as the third worst team in the league on DraftKings in fantasy points given up on at the point guard position with an average of 53.4 and is the eight worst on FanDuel with an average of 42.4. Westbrook still has the highest Usage Rate out of all the point guards in the league too.
Jeff Teague - FD 6800 DK 6800
Opponent - OKC FD Proj. Pts - 30.16 DK Proj. Pts - 31.23
Point guard is slightly dicey tonight. What stands out the most with Jeff Teague in this spot is his price tag. Our system has him somewhere in the 30 point range. He isn't a huge minutes guy all thing considered, but Oklahoma City ranks in the bottom half in the league compared to all other teams in terms of how many fantasy points they give up on average at the point guard position (DraftKings: 50.5 & FanDuel: 41.3).
Jarrett Jack - FD 6200 DK 6200
Opponent - PHI FD Proj. Pts - 29.5 DK Proj. Pts - 30.34
Jarrett Jack is another one of those solid cheap buys who allows you stretch out your money to spend generously at other positions. He's not a sure thing but against the Sixers in what should be a closer game (because both teams stink), Jack stands to perform well on the offensive end. Jack can see minutes buzzed to Larkin, but this opponent is almost too bad to avoid.
Kyle Korver - FD 4600 DK 4500
Opponent - OKC FD Proj. Pts - 20.7 DK Proj. Pts - 24.13
Shooting guard is one of the only positions on this slate that looks tough. Everywhere else there appear to be solid-to-very nice value in a couple of different price tiers. Not shooting guard though. It's tough sledding. Korver is a high floor, low ceiling type play who won't crush you from a salary perspective. He's out there for about 30 minutes a game when the affair stays close and gets up just enough threes to add some scoring. The rebounds and defensive stats will come trickling in as long as he gets the run.
Jimmy Butler - FD 8200 DK 7500
Opponent - LAC FD Proj. Pts - 34.66 DK Proj. Pts - 36.01
He took a ton of shots last night against the Celtics which makes sense considering the pace of the game was pretty speedy. He won't have this kind of output on the nightly basis, but the Bulls have to realize that Jimmy Buckets should be one of the primary forces on offense and not Rose. I don't know if the volume continues, but it should. The Clippers are one of the better teams in the league at defending opposing shooting guards, and Butler isn't a fantastic points per dollar play (I can stomach the price more on DraftKings). The ranks get thin after Butler and Korver though.
Strongly consider J.J. Redick if you think the minutes are back into the mid 30's.

Kevin Durant - FD 10300 DK 10100
Opponent - ATL FD Proj. Pts - 44.12 DK Proj. Pts - 46.69
Durant poured in 56 fantasy points in just 30 minutes on the floor in the Thunder's blow-out over Memphis, and the most promising thing about his situation seems to be that Westbrook is embracing a role as an actual point guard. He's up to the 9th highest usage rate in the league (30.7), and he continues to get stronger and more confident after starting the season with a couple of different injuries. The Hawks' slow PACE mean they aren't a great match-up for most positions, but Durant is simply under-priced for what he's doing right now. He'll be a play until he reaches ~$11,000.
Omri Casspi - FD 4600 DK 5300
Opponent - NYK FD Proj. Pts - 19.8 DK Proj. Pts - 20.7
Casspi played a season high 41 minutes against Utah, and played unusually well during that time. His price has jumped $500 on each site as well. Not an ideal time to be a buyer, generally speaking. Still, Casspi is playing a major role on one of the fastest paced teams in the league, and he's still a solid play for 50/50s and double-ups. Like the Hawks, the Knicks don't allow a ton of fantasy points to opposing small forwards simply because they don't play very fast. Like Durant, though, Casspi's price hasn't caught up to his opportunity.
Bojan Bogdanovic - FD 3900 DK 4200
Opponent - PHI FD Proj. Pts - 18.51 DK Proj. Pts - 20.41
With Hollis-Jefferson out, Bogdanovic is the last man standing at the small forward position on the Nets. He stinks, sure, but it's almost impossible not to pay prices like these if the trend of him playing high 30s minutes continues. If you've watched Bogdanovic, it's hard to consider him a high upside play by any stretch. But if you've watched the Sixers play defense, you know that anyone who plays minutes against them has to be considered.
Blake Griffin - FD 9300 DK 9200
Opponent - CHI FD Proj. Pts - 42.96 DK Proj. Pts - 43.6
A price dip for Blake has him looking very affordable across the industry, and his recent play makes me think the dip was unwarranted. He's back to crashing the boards (averaging almost 13 rebounds a game in his last 3) and is shooting his typical 18+ shots per game. The Bulls are playing the 7th fastest PACE in the league this year, and the extra possessions should help Blake on the boards and in the points column. The Bulls' interior defense is also a lot softer with Noah starting on the bench, and Thibs gone. On a short slate, I like Blake everywhere.
Thaddeus Young - FD 7000 DK 7400
Opponent - PHI FD Proj. Pts - 32.49 DK Proj. Pts - 33.78
Thad Young has averaged a double-double in his past three contests (while scoring at least 20 points in his past two match-ups), and while the price has climbed, he's still pretty well priced here. He's locked into a 33-35 minute rotation, and he gets to face a 76ers team next that ranks as the worst team in league in fantasy points given up on average at the power forward position (DraftKings: 55.6 & FanDuel: 48.2). Really high floor here against the indifferent 76ers.

DeMarcus Cousins - FD 9800 DK 10200
Opponent - NYK FD Proj. Pts - 49.07 DK Proj. Pts - 49.64
At this price, he's basically a must start on FanDuel where the price is simply too low for the upside he can offer. I suppose it's a little closer on DraftKings considering there are some other decent power forward options. But at $9800 on FD I don't see how you get away from the guy. Boogie's a moderate head case and is prone to stupid fouls which buzz off his minutes. He's had a rougher run of it lately, but the last two games have seen the minutes creep back to his normal levels and he should be able to body down either Porzingis or Lopez, whoever guards him. This is all about the price and upside.
Al Horford - FD 7000 DK 6900
Opponent - OKC FD Proj. Pts - 33.77 DK Proj. Pts - 34.37
Like I said about Horford last night: he's more of a cash game play than anything else. And that's not even to say he's the safest guy in the whole world, but I just don't think he has a crazy-high ceiling. The Hawks have a lot of mouths to feed on offense and they tend to spread the ball. But Horford is in the offensive mix and the Thunder aren't fantastic at guarding opposing centers. This is more of a price play because he's solidly in that middle tier, but again, I greatly prefer Boogie on FanDuel.
On DraftKings Brook Lopez is a fantastic value and probably the play there.
