Another packed Saturday in college football land. Some really high scoring games could be coming your way.
We're also selling lineups for every CFB slate. This week they include 2 FanDuel lineups and 2 DraftKings lineups. They are $5 and are separate from our membership subscription. This season of our 69% of our FanDuel lineups have moneyed in cash games, and one won the FanDuel Redshirt tournament. Meanwhile 60% of our DraftKings lineups have hit in cash games. Don't miss out.
Chris Johnson
At the moment Draftkings is only offering a Friday all-day slate. Add in the pricing difference and Johnson is not nearly the must play the vc54re as he is on FanDuel. Johnson should be 100% in cash games, but he won’t be and it will be to your advantage. I understand he is Baylor’s 3rd string quarterback, but this is Baylor and programs like theirs generally have blue chip talent ready to replace the injured blue chip talent. In our small glimpse of Johnson last week it’s clear he will run more than his predecessors and that’s just the way we like it. Shock Linwood is also expected to miss the game creating more of a void for Johnson to fill. The inexperience of Johnson could certainly lead to some mistakes, but I see the inexperience leading to more tucking and running.
Trevone Boykin
There’s really only one reason to get away from Johnson on FanDuel’s late slate and that’s Boykin returns as the starter. It seems to be 50/50 at the time of this writing, but money being so easy paying up for Boykin is also easy. As of now the Vegas line is off with all the injuries, but I would still expect a high scoring game. Not much to say here, but if Boykin suits up he automatically becomes the top play on the night. That’s if you trust his health. Happy Thanksgiving everyone.
Devin Chafin
Johnny Jefferson
Shock Linwood is expected to miss this week’s game and with the Bears already on their 3rd string quarterback these guys should see a substantial uptick in volume. I wouldn’t expect Baylor to change what it likes to do on offense in the face of all these injuries. Corey Coleman garners much of the attention, but Baylor runs the ball with the best of them. The only difference to expect is more runs from quarterback Chris Johnson compared to Baylor Pre-Injury. It’s interesting to point out that Jefferson was the back spelling Linwood so it’s possible he is tabbed as the starter. Chafin saw the most carries after Linwood went down and has been a favorite down near the goal line all year. If I had to pick one I would utilize Chafin due to his seemingly secure role as the goal line back. Either way I don’t think it matters who starts with the prices these guys carry. On Draftkings I will gladly trot both of them out there in cash games without thinking twice. FanDuel presents an interesting dynamic. Chafin is clearly a great value, but I just don’t think you need to save the money. It’s certainly possible Chafin is one of the best backs of the day in total points further adding to the rub.
Aaron Green
On the other side of the field will be one Aaron Green. TCU is also dealing with a rash of injuries just as it has all year. The Frogs will also be starting their 3rd string quarterback, but unlike Baylor, TCU’s backups haven’t looked so good. This has led to a significant increase in work for Green. Prior to the injuries Green didn’t see more than 15 carries in 4 straight games. In his last 3 games he has seen at least 24 carries. Boykin may return under center to face Baylor, but I think Green’s work is safe. Losing Doctson for the year is what is really creating the need for Green. Boykin returning could actually help Green by opening up the offense and creating more scoring opportunities.
Receiver is such a monumental task that I will simply break down the whole group.
Corey Coleman is the most talented receiver, but has seen his production take a nosedive since losing Russell and then Stidham. I will still roster Coleman if I have the money which will hinge on Boykin playing or not.
KD Cannon and Jay Lee have been keeping pace with Coleman, but at a substantially lower price. Cannon exploded, hehe, last week for over 200 yards and could be a popular play this week.
If Boykin plays I love Kolby Listenbee and to a lesser extent Shaun Nixon and KaVontae Turpin. Nixon is still listed as a running back even though his primary role is that of receiver.
Bralon Addison and Darren Carrington are both strong value in what should be a total smackdown. Blowouts don’t scare me away, but when teams, like Oregon, have a bunch of offensive weapons it can get a little dicey. As if things couldn’t become more clouded now we discuss Tulsa’s receivers.
Keyarris Garrett seems to be feast or famine, but when he has gone off he has dropped absolute monsters. Joshua Atkinson was the hot hand in the middle of the year, but sort of disappeared only to reappear the last two weeks with 16 receptions. Conner Floyd, the newcomer of sorts, has arguably been the most consistent relative to his price over the last 3 games. Tulane is a favorable matchup, but guessing which Tulsa receiver will deliver is not so favorable.
And finally we have Tajae Sharpe. Dude is a target machine, but UMass has largely sucked all year and Sharpe’s production has dipped quite a bit. It’s hard to feel great about any of the receivers and with money being so flexible you can afford to pay for the top tier even if they don’t represent strong pts/$ plays. And breathe.
Matt Weiser
Rodney Mills
I never thought the day would come that I would approve paying up for garbage production, but here we are. The money is so that it’s restrictive to waste dollars on a tight end. Weiser and Mills actually the ball regularly. The production is nothing special, but it shouldn’t be a zero.
