Daily Fantasy College Football Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings - Saturday Late 10/17/15

Boykin, Doctson, TCU oh my, Whenever these guys are around you know some scoring is going down.

We're also selling lineups for every CFB slate. This week they include 2 DraftKings and 2 FanDuel lineups. They are $5 and are separate from our membership subscription. This season of our 74% of our FanDuel lineups have moneyed in cash games, and one won the FanDuel Redshirt tournament. Meanwhile 61% of our DraftKings lineups have hit in cash games. Don't miss out.

    Quarterback

    Trevone Boykin
Boykin is certainly making his case for a Heisman with a nice comeback win against K-State. An aspect that has made an impact on Boykin’s DFS value has been the poor performance of TCU’s defense. They have been allowing 27.5 points per game putting Boykin in track meet situations more often. SMU, Texas Tech, and K-State combined for 134 points against TCU. I don’t think Iowa State has the offense to drop 35, but they should score and score enough to keep Boykin on the field. Boykin has the highest floor on the board making his salary money well spent.

    Anu Solomon
On FanDuel I won’t be getting away from Boykin, but on Draftkings where two quarterbacks are utilized Anu makes for a nice middling play. His fantasy number wasn’t great in his first game back from injury, but you could argue he ran cold with touchdowns. They game also got out of hand quickly limiting the need for Anu to make plays. Zona is a touchdown favorite when they travel to Colorado and could be without Nick Wilson paving the way for Solomon to be the center of attention. I think we are getting a 10-15% discount on his price and with a juicy matchup he makes a nice cash game play.

    Running Back

    CJ Prosise
Prosise has been dominant since taking over the starting gig. Even against Clemson where the Irish couldn’t get the run game going Prosise still found a way to get it done with 4/100/1 receiving. Last week against Navy he did it the ol fashioned way and ripped off 129 yards and 3 scores on just 21 carries. USC is in flux right now and it’s hard to say what kind of team will show up for the Trojans. Either way I trust in the Irish run game and the ability of Prosise. Some of the other elite backs should have nice games as well, but I think Prosise is right there with them in terms of production at a reduced price.

    Elijah Hood
I would like to see more volume for Hood, but the lack of work is built into the price. Hood has largely been efficient with his touches averaging over 6 YPC and a touchdown per game. Wake Forest hasn’t played the dishrag they have been in years past, but they still don’t scare you in any way. UNC is a 17pt home favorite which is a scenario that typically bodes well for feature backs. Hood probably won’t serve you well in GPP formats as his ceiling is limited by the lack of volume, but his floor is high relative to his price.

Note: Nick Wilson is questionable and could sit this one out. If he sits Orlando Bradford is close to a must start.

    Wide Receiver

    Josh Doctson
So this is the easy one right. Doctson is the no brainer at the position and with what I see as few quality receiver options, I think you need to have Doctson at all costs. That’s not to say you are overpaying for him. Considering how high his floor is and the fact his volume seems locked in, you could argue he should be even more pricey. The game has a high total and TCU has found themselves in back and forth games lately. When the dust settles I expect a comfortable win for the Frogs and once again the result of Boykin to Doctson. Safe money.

    JuJu Smith
I didn’t want to highlight JuJu, but chose to anyway, obviously. There’s no questioning his talent or the rest of USC for that matter, but there is a question to how focused they might be for this contest with the Irish. This is a huge rivalry for both schools and the Trojans must travel to South Bend in the midst of a coaching change. The receiver options are few on the late slate, at least on FanDuel, so this is more a selection against the field opposed to Smith being great value. Smith and the Trojans could band together and play at a high level or there could be a focus issue and the Trojans get stomped. I was hoping he would come with more of a discount, but with few options I’ll pay for his talent.

    Tight End

    Cam Serigne
I actually thought for a second we were going to go a whole weekend without cursing FanDuel for making us pick a tight end, until now. This group is especially awful and I will likely opt for some random 2k guy, but if I have the money Serigne is probably the smart money play. He sees a fair amount of targets, but the overall production is less than exciting.
