Today is a very weird day in the DFS world. There is a 1PM game, an 8PM game and then a five game late slate that starts at 10PM. I'm going to concentrate the picks on that late slate and if you are playing full day stuff definitely check out our projections in the membership area.

Pitchers

Corey Kluber - FD 10500 DK 11600
He's the top pitching option on almost any slate he throws and tonight is no exception. Kluber is proving that he last year's Cy Young was no fluke as he's carried over the same kind of dominance. His peripherals are amazing with a K rate more than 10 per nine and a walk rate at about 1.5. He's mowing batters down. The Mariners are in the bottom third of the league against righty pitching and Kluber has the added bonus of getting to throw in one of the best pitcher's parks in baseball. He's the top option on this slate by a fair margin and I'm not seeing a lot of reasons to fade him.

CC Sabathia - FD 7200 DK 8400
He got smoked in his last outing. Let others be swayed by that. He was bit by some bad defense (though he wasn't sharp by any means), but he's still bring some solid peripherals to the table as he's really limited his walks. The xFIP is well behind the ERA. The A's are one of the worst teams in the league this season hitting against lefties as they rank second to last in the league in team wOBA against that platoon. Like him as a second option to Kluber on two pitcher sites or an upside play for tournaments.

Catchers

Yan Gomes - FD 2700 DK 3800
He's still priced on the cheap side after coming back from injury. Gomes has had a lot of success over the last year against lefty pitching with an .857 OPS and .372 wOBA. Definitely wish he hit a little higher in the order, though beggars can't be choosers on this slate. He is a great salary if you are working to get Kluber in those lineups and that's even with the bad ballpark.

Brian McCann - FD 3100 DK 4400
Kendall Graveman has been a little piece of terrible this season by walking 4.4 batters per nine and rocking an xFIP well into the fives. McCann won't break the bank for you though I do have to say that I don't like him as much as I like Gomes.

First base

Freddie Freeman - FD 3300 DK 4300
The real shame for Freeman is the rest of his lineup and teammates are so dreadful. The Braves are a mess and Freeman is about the only quality bat on the team. I still think the price is low enough to consider him on his own merit, but the plate appearance expectation is a little lower because that lineup isn't going to turn over a whole lot.

Nick Swisher - FD 2200 DK 3100
Really like him as a cheap option on this slate. Swisher is much better against lefties for his career with a 128 wRC+ and .831 in that platoon for his career. This is mostly a punt play option if you are really looking to save, but I do think there is a bit of safety simply because he's so cheap.

Second base

Robinson Cano - FD 2700 DK 3400
Says a lot about this position and this slate that I'm even considering putting out a guy against Kluber, but Cano's price is just so low considering his skill set that I have to throw him out there. He's been awful for sure this season, but I'm still a semi-believer if the prices are in the punt zone.

Neil Walker - FD 2800 DK 3700
Know that this is going to be a very low scoring late slate. All of the games are in good really solid pitcher's parks and power might be a little harder to come by. He's facing Ian Kennedy who is coming back from a DL stint which can always make a pitcher a little iffy. Walker is a guy who shows up a lot in our picks because the price never fully hits the breaking point.

Shortstop

Marcus Semien - FD 2800 DK 3500
I know I recommended Sabathia, but that doesn't mean we can't go after an Athletic here or there. He's putting together a solid offensive season for a shortstop. He hits high in the order (more than you can say for most at this position) and is a better hitter against lefty arms. His career 107 wRC+ is just above overall league average and the price is totally acceptable.

Erick Aybar - FD 2700 DK 3700
For the same prices, I think I prefer Semien. But Aybar is a fine enough option. He's facing Buck Farmer who can dial up the K's, though has trouble hanging long in games because of the wildness. Aybar is just a dude, but he's a dude hitting leadoff.

Third base

Yangervis Solarte - FD 2300 DK 2800
Solarte's been hitting leadoff for the Padres in the short term with Myers out. Look, there's very little to get excited about when talking about Solarte except for the slot in the order. He's just kind of hanging around the diamond, doing not-a-whole-heck-of-a-lot. Price and lineup placement is the story hear against A.J. Burnett who has hasn't been as good as his sub two ERA would suggest.

Chase Headley - FD 2800 DK 4000
As I said with McCann, Kendall Gravemen is one of the weaker arms going on the slate and we can definitely stick some Yankees in lineups against him. Headley's been just about league average over the last year and change against righties though he does K a bit much. Can take a walk though and that's good news against Graveman who has control issues.

Outfield

Mike Trout - FD 5000 DK 5300
Kole Calhoun - FD 2900 DK 4300
Matt Joyce - FD 2200 DK 3100
I'd think using combinations of these guys against Buck Farmer today (I just love typing the name Buck Farmer). Farmer is a bigger strikeout guy but he's also prone to walking a lot of batters. With Trout, I think you can save enough in the rest of the hitting ranks to rather safely get his salary in there. Calhoun's price has come down, and though I like him better as a leadoff hitter, these prices are acceptable. Joyce has been brutal this season, but some it is is related to a .216 Babip that's driven some of his other numbers down.

Brett Gardner - FD 3500 DK 4100
Carlos Beltran - FD 2700 DK 3600
Like I've said for some of the other Pinstripe bats, Graveman is a guy we can target some bats against. Gardner is a little overpriced for me on FanDuel, but I do like the price on DraftKings. Beltran's getting a little long in the tooth but is still coming cheaper on this slate. Hate all the ballparks in the late game, so everyone's taking a hit there. If I'm not stacking some of the A's outfield, this is where I'm going.
