Draftster has a ton of cool stuff going on including the a whole host of Freerolls

Reminder: This article explores Draftster-specific value and will hone in on some of the major pricing differences we see there. Much like DraftKings, the Draftster model has wider range of salaries, offering some fantastic punt-play value. Keep this in mind.

Quarterback

Matthew Stafford - $5900
What I like about Stafford this week is fairly simple: he is in a must-win game against the Packers that should have the Lions playing from behind. The winner of this game gets the last NFC playoff spot and the Packers are a seven point favorite. Stafford is going to need to throw and throw some more. Granted, he's blown the last couple of weeks. But that's served to lower his price significantly after a couple of big weeks in a row. Green Bay's been an above average team against the pass mostly because they keep the ball in their hands for long stretches. But I think the game flow helps Stafford's fantasy implications this week and he is still operating with the best receiver in the business. Risky for sure, but of the quarterbacks that can put up a 300 yard multi-TD game, he is by far the cheapest.

Bargain Bin Specials
Case Keenum - $3700
Josh McCown - $3900
Brian Hoyer - $3000 (if he plays)
Each of these guys stinks in real life. But there is a price you would play anyone. And for these guys there is a process that could have them in your lineups. They'd be taking the snaps and really like 200 yards and a touchdown from any of them would be more than enough to pay their tags. None of them are cash game plays by any means but if you are looking to hit a GPP then slotting them in and hoping they are playing from behind enough to throw then there is a chance once just slaughters the salaries. Not for the faint of heart. But worth it I think in some spots.

Running Backs

Lesean McCoy - $6500
If you were saddled with McCoy all season then you probably hate the guy. And who could blame you? He went into the season with sky-high expectations and basically just sh#$ all over you for the better part of the last sixteen weeks. But I think he has one more chance to provide you some value in his matchup against the Giants. New York has done their best to come in at the bottom of the league against the rush. The rank third worst in the league in total yards allowed on the ground thanks to a league worst 4.9 yards per carry. I suspect McCoy plays with a little chip on his shoulder for this one that Vegas has projected as the highest total of the day. McCoy turned it on a little last week with 116 total yards and a touchdown. You've got one more chance Shady. Don't let us down.

Ryan Mathews - $3000
Branden Oliver - $3200
The story on these two is pretty simple. They are priced at the minimums at one of them (most likely Oliver) will see a majority of the carries for the Chargers. Mathews hasn't played in the last couple of games and hasn't practiced at all this week. Oliver is by no means an elite back, but for the minimums you'd be getting a guy seeing a hair less than twenty touches per game between the run and pass. The touchdowns aren't there which is a problem, but honestly you can live with that at the prices. That's where you get real value on Draftster as there are almost always some dudes like these standing to see the lionshare of the work at prices that don't effect your cap at all.

Wide Receivers

Eddie Royal - $5300
With Keenan Allen expected to sit again this week Royal stands to be the primary target guy again for Rivers. Granted he saw 12 targets while a bevy of other guys saw 9-10 targets from Rivers as the Chargers threw a ton. Expect more of the same against the Chiefs. Basically we are willing to buyany of the Chargers' targets on the price climb as Allen had been the primary target receiver up until this point. That means we are basically spreading his value among the other players and the prices haven't had enough time to catch up. That's a great spot.

Marquess Wilson - $3300
Speaking of targets getting spread out to new players on the absence of a top guy. Brandon Marshall is out so the Bears needed to throw to someone. Last week that person was Wilson. He saw ten targets and turned it into a 7/66 line that is more than enough to pay off the minimums. And the week before though he saw less targets he still found the end zone. You are getting a guy for nothing here with a floor well above his price tag.

For the big money give me
Demaryius Thomas - $8200
He's priced below the top tier of receiver for reasons I can't quite figure. Dude is still dominating targets and yet is coming in a bit cheaper than some of the other big names. I love this play considering how much savings I'm getting elsewhere.

Tight Ends

Jermaine Gresham - $3200
Even with A.J. Green most likely playing this week I still like the value of Gresham. The problem with tight end is a problem for most of the guys at the position. The biggest boys (Gronk, Gronk, Gronk) are too expensive and likely to not play because the Patriots are on cruise control. Gresham has been off and on for most of the season. As is the case for many of the tight ends as they simply aren't huge parts of many team's offenses.

Greg Olsen - $5200
If I were to spend up at all at the position and not totally punt it, I'd roll Olsen. He saw a crazy low amount of targets last week which I think will prove an outlier. He's been one of the highest targeted tight ends on the season and his stinker last week only served to keep the price in check for one last go around.
