Tony Wroten - FD 7600 DK 7700
For cash games this one is pretty easy. Wroten is just the man in Philly right now (which is purely a relative statement). He's their primary ball-handler and scorer. That alone is worth it's weight in daily fantasy gold at these prices. Factor in that he throws in some rebounds and steals as well and you have a guy who is criminally underpriced considering the state of the Sixers and his role. He will play through blowouts and on a short night I'm loving how high his floor is. Roll him out there without hesitation. MCW looks like he's back tonight. Honestly PG is so thin tonight that I'll still play Wroten in all likelihood.
Deron Williams - FD 7700 DK 7600
Fair warning: I don't love this play, but finding great ways to get money in at point guard beyond Wroten, from guys who play any kind of minutes is real tough. Other solid guys like Curry and Collison are in bad matchups and I'm disinclined to get a lot of money in on them. D-Will doesn't have a fantastic matchup with the Warriors, but I'd take him dollar-for-dollar over the other two (though it's close with Collison). Again, he's on here more by default that actual faith.
Consider praying for a PG scratch so you can get a cheap guy in at the last second.
Monta Ellis - FD 7500 DK 7100
Gets to play Philly and I really thought that would blow his points per dollar out of the box, but it didn't. A bit odd considering the Sixers have been allowing about 28% more scoring from shooting guards than league average. Ellis will be in a lot of cash games considering the matchup and how much he plays a part in the Dallas offense. Seems ultra safe all things considered and the price tag wont put you in too much a of a bind.
Tony Allen - FD 4800 DK 4200
Courtney Lee - FD 5300 DK 4800
I like both of these guys for different reasons. They play on the court together with Lee being more the offensive player and Allen locking it down on D. They come at different price points, and considering their roles and usage I think there's actual a case to be made to play them together in cash games on a short slate. Sounds a bit nuts, but Memphis does lean on them a bit, especially from the outside (which is bad for them considering Allen's lack of shooting). But when Allen does actually score he pays easily and Lee's been consistent.
Chandler Parsons - FD 6300 DK 6600
All about matchup here. Philly is bad against shooting guards (Ellis) and even worse against small forwards. SFs score at a clip of 33% higher than league average and I think you really have a high floor if you pair Parsons and Ellis together in cash games. You need to fade a blowout for sure, but I don't concern myself with that too much on a short slate simply because of the limited options. Parsons can bomb at these prices for sure, but SF is so very thin. He'll be a huge cash game start mostly because there is just no one else.
K.J. McDaniels - FD 4300 DK 4300
Luc Richard Mbah a Moute - FD 3800 DK 3500
You know how dire the situation has gotten if I'm mentioning these two guys. Wow. I never thought I'd see the day. Here's the case: They are both coming cheap, both run around the court for close to thirty minutes and again, are both cheap. Not particularly worried about the blowout for the Sixers' guys. They give you flexibility and that's all you are asking for at these prices.
Zach Randolph - FD 7800 DK 7300
He laid a monster dump on me against the Lakers the other night. But I don't let little things like costing me big scores or profits dissuade me from heading right back to the well. This is a very tough slate because many of the solid guys are in suboptimal matchups. Sacramento has struggled with the power forward position this season (though so had the Lakers) and I think Z-Bo gets right back on the scoring and boarding horse. I feel like this has double-double written all over it. And not the cheeseburger and fries kind of doubling.
Nerlens Noel - FD 6000 DK 5500
I think a lot of people will b on Dirk tonight (for good reason) but I'm thinking of going a different direction and rolling Noel. It's risky for sure. But I think you gain instant separation in a GPP with this play. He's put up some stinkers, but when he gets the minutes he is paying these prices regularly. Dallas has really struggled with power forwards to start the season and I think this is a sneaky system play of the day as long as he is starting. The minutes, coming back from injury, are a concern but I love the upside.
Consider Dirk obviously
Tyson Chandler - FD 6000 DK 6200
Andrew Bogut - FD 5800 DK 6000
These guys are nearly identical in our system (and in real life) and I will have equal shares of both going into tonight's games. Both are in solid matchups. Philly is Philly though I should say they've been better this year defending the center position. Meanwhile, Brooklyn has been sneaky bad defending big men especially in their scoring where they are allowing 16% more than league average. Neither guy is anything close to a focal point on offense but I'm not particularly interested in paying up for the bigger names who are in bad matchups. Both of these guys offer respectable floors considering their prices.
Consider Marc Gasol
