This piece will examine some Draftster-specific value as this site tends to quickly adjust prices quickly and severely. This is great news for you as identifying players who are priced as punts is a money-making venture for you. Here we go.
Quarterbacks
Robert Griffin III - $3100
Because Draftster price-corrects pretty quickly you have a great scenario here. Griffin is coming back to start this week and is coming at the minimum price. That's almost too good to pass up. Even if you think he is playing at say, 75%, you are getting a dynamic quarterback with a live arm leading the offense at a punt price. I'm actually hesitant to really recommend anyone else just because this allows you significant upside with almost no downside. If just has an average game you still hit value. In the game before he was injured Griffin threw for 267 yards. No touchdowns, but that could be some run bad. I doubt he gets out into the open field too much coming back from injury, but I really can't express how great of a value this is here. Take advantage. These are the situations we wait for in DFS. Consider this: He's the cheapest quarterback on the board and 66% less than the top plays for the week. Is he 66% worse than those guys? No chance.
Quick note: This is also did me a huge favor because I was really struggling with QB this week here
Consider Ryan Fitzpatrick but not really, because you should just be playing RGIII.
Running Backs
Marshawn Lynch - $7300
Because you are getting money in great at RGIII at QB you can afford to spend at running back this week. Lynch makes a solid play because his price has dropped some out of the top tier (rightfully so) and he sits below those guys with a chance to really crush this number. His touches have decreased over the last few weeks, but I'm counting on it being an anomaly more than an actual long term trend. Lynch remains the feature back and there is no narrative coming out of Seahawks that would suggest a total role change. He's going against a crappy Raider team that's just begging to get grounded and pounded. Lynch always has multiple TD upside because of his red zone usage and I think he has the best chance to crush his salary at this position.
Jeremy Hill - $3800
It's looking increasingly unlikely that Gio Bernard hits the field for the Bengals. And if he doesn't play then Jeremy Hill would likely see the majority of the run for the Bengals. Hill's averaged about four yards per carry in his limited time on the field this season and he's shown the ability to catch the ball out of the backfield. That latter point really raises his floor (already low because of the punt prices) because Draftster is a full point PPR format. Really love his value here if he's the starter.
Wide Receivers
Andre Johnson - $6500
Coming a little on the high end all things considered, but don't forget that seemingly every good receiver is on a bye this week and the ones that are left are either real expensive (A. Brown- $9000) or real expensive and have QB question marks (Dez - $8800). Now, there's a case for A. Brown at that price considering how much he's targeted. But you can go a little cheaper and grab a guy in Johnson who averages
Reggie Wayne - $3100
I've been really waiting for some chances to hit on value punt plays for Draftster the last couple of weeks. It looks like a lot of them are coming in for this Sunday. Wayne is another guy whose price has dropped because of a recent injury. But now he's in line to play Monday night against the Giants. Draftster is a late swap site so if you leave a few bucks over you can possibly have enough room to swap in Moncrief if Wayne isn't going to go. That leaves some cash on the table for sure, which isn't great. But Wayne's targets at this price are awesome.
Tight Ends
Rob Gronkowski - $8000
By this point, if everything shakes out correctly, you are saving so much across the board that fitting Gronk shouldn't really be an issue. He is far and away the best TE on the slate and considering the difference between he and the next closest guy I'm not hesitant at all to play him even at a bit of an overpay. Because you are saving across the board don't sweat getting a few extra bucks in here because he is the most targeted tight end on the slate and really has no competition. That's why DFS gods invented punts, so you could grab guys like Gronk and not sweat the tag.
