DFSR has partnered with ScoreStreak: a new, innovative style of DFS play. Gone is the salary finagling, mixing and matching, and hair-pulling that goes into setting lineups. ScoreStreak simplifies the process in an easy-to-use interface. Employing a prop-pick style, ScoresStreak leagues are specific outcome dependent with three categories: Total Bases, Hits, and for pitchers, Strikeouts.
Also, new users who deposit through DFSR will get an extra $10 to play with. And if you are new to daily fantasy football, make sure read our Free Football e-book.
Also be sure to sign up for a free 3-day trial to access the MLB and NFL system and spreadsheets that help produce our picks. And give ScoreStreak a try. You'll like it as much as we do.
Miguel Cabrera
Victor Martinez
The story here is real simple. These two guys get to face up against one Mr. Scott Carroll. Pretty much the end of the story. Carroll is one of the worst pitchers in baseball that keeps showing up on a major league mound. He strikes out a whopping 4.11 batters per nine and has a 4.62 xFIP. V-Mart and Miggy has .911 and .888 OPS's respectively against righty pitching this season and could be in for big games today against such a weak arm. Because salaries aren't an issue on ScoreStreak, get both of these guys in some top slots tonight. Set it and forget it.
Jose Altuve
Speaking of guys getting to face terrible pitchers, the Astros face Nick Tepesch and his non-electric stuff. Because Altuve strikes out only 7.4% of the time against righties and walks only 5%, we are left with a lot of contact in a lot of at bats. And because Tepesch doesn't strike anyone out it is a safe assumption that Altuve will at minimum have the ball in play four times today. When trying to predict hits, that's about as safe as it gets.
Robinson Cano
R.A. Dickey has been pretty lucky against lefties this season and could be a little bit of trouble against a guy like Cano that manhandles righty pitching. Cano's contact rate is super solid and though he takes a few more walks than I'd like to see out of this slot, I think expecting one hit is reasonable.
David Price
He can put up the clunker every once in a while, but if I'm shooting strictly for strikeouts today I think he makes the top play, and that's keeping firmly in mind some of the other big arms going on the day. Price faces a White Sox team that's middle of the road against lefties and strikes out 22% of the time in that split. Price issues so few walks that he keeps his K expectation high simply because he'll go late in games he's even giving up runs in. Will be interesting to see how people work this slot today. I'm rolling Price.
Danny Salazar
I know there are a ton of big arms going today. But in ScoreStreak, with limited slot options I'm looking for separation. Welcome Danny Salazar. He's struck out nine batters in two of his last four games and has as much K upside as anyone on the right day. The Royals don't K a ton against righties, but Salazar is still in a good spot and I bet you are one of the only guys playing im.
