Quarterbacks
Kenny Hill - FD 9600 DK 8400
Kenny Trill ® – Yes, Hill's parents have applied to trademark Kenny Trill. Any who, this dude had some serious shoes to fill taking over for Johnny Football and fill he did. In fact, fill might be an understatement. Opening week, on the road, against a tough SEC team and guess what? Hill absolutely shredded the Gamecocks passing for over 500yds with a 73% completion percentage. That’s a tough stage to open the season with and Trill brought down the house. I'm not loving the QB options for the night slate, but Hill is probably as safe as it gets. Hopefully Rice can stay in the game so he gets full run.
Everett Golson - FD 8600 DK 7900
Love me some Everett. Golson is slowly but surely making a case to be considered in the Heisman race. The drubbing he led last week against Michigan was something that hasn’t been done since 1984; shutting out the Wolverines. Yes, I realize he doesn’t play defense, but Golson is so electrifying he inspires both sides of the ball. After sitting out all of last year I'm thinking he is still juiced up to crush the competition. Golson represents strong value and nice upside.
Christian Hackenberg - FD 8200 DK 7000
This true sophomore is arguably the best NFL ready QB prospect in all the land. He has a huge arm and PSU has transformed from a power running team to more of a run and gun team. Rutgers is coming to Happy Valley for a primetime night game. Can you say welcome to the Big Ten. Rutgers secondary is already suspect so PSU will likely pass the ball all over the field. That being said, he doesn’t always translate to the best fantasy option cause he doesn’t run. As I mentioned before I'm not in love with the QB pricing for tonight so I think Hack offers nice safety at a reasonable price.
Running Backs
D.J. Foster - FD 9800 DK 9400
The price is steep, but if you have it flaunt it. Foster is so unbelievably dynamic and is the center piece to a pretty potent Sun Devil offense. He runs. He catches. He scores. He can pass too, but it's just unnecessary. Even in blowouts Foster still delivers the goods. No need to discuss further – if you have the money its money well spent
Javorius Allen - FD 8100 DK 7000
Allen ran very well against Stanford last week, which is not always an easy thing to do. He didn’t score and I think that changes this week against BC. USC is on the road for back-to-back games and may not quite have the necessary focus after a huge win against the Cardinal. BC just allowed James Connor to rush for over 200yds, what makes you think anything will change this week?
Keith Ford - FD 7200 DK 6000
The only thing holding this guy back from being at the top is the volume he's seeing or not seeing for that matter. This is Ford's 3rd consecutive week making my list and he has delivered each time with multiple touchdowns. I only wish he would get more than 12 touches per game. OU has a rock solid offense and Ford is the lead back thus why he has rushed for two TD's in each game. Tennessee will probably present the toughest challenge yet (still won't be a close game) so hopefully the Sooner offense needs Ford a little more than before.
Kelvin Taylor - FD 5400 DK 3900
It's always good to find cheap options. It's even better to find cheap options that will produce like expensive ones. The price on DK is absolutely criminal and Taylor WILL be in every single DK lineup I run. Kentucky RB Jojo Kemp has guaranteed victory Saturday night when the Wildcats take on the Gators in The Swamp. I had to go to a second source to confirm this outlandish prediction. Hey Jojo – its puff puff pass NOT puff until you black out. Kentucky is a perennial loser (although looking better) and is going on the road….haha – Im not sure why athletes continue to do these kind of things, especially as an 18pt dog. Florida is well aware of Kemp's comments. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure what's going to happen after kickoff. *Matt Jones, also at 3900, is also a strong value play as there will be plenty of carries to go around.
Wide Receivers
Keevan Lucas - DK 6800
23 grabs and over 300yds to go along with 4 TD's. That's the kind of volume I look for in these PPT formats. I love that Lucas is an unheralded guy playing Tulsa. Sometimes these guys fly under the radar and pay off handsomely. Lucas makes for a strong play in both cash games and large tournaments. Tulsa is at FAU this week, but the road venue shouldn’t hurt his production. Now that Trey Watts has graduated the NFL Tulsa relies more on its passing game. Lucas has been the biggest benefactor thus far. Keyarris Garrett is under consideration too at a much cheaper price, but clearly plays second fiddle to Lucas.
Nelson Spruce - FD 7000 DK 6600
Another guys that fits the mold of super high volume. Spruce has amassed 17 receptions, 250yds, and 4 TD's through two games. Not quite the same as Lucas, but good enough. Now that Paul Richardson has vacated the WR1 spot, Spruce has picked up the slack. The Buffalos run a wide open offense and chuck it deep with the kind of regularity that makes me giddy. Spruce has a very favorable matchup in the sense that Arizona St. is going to score 100pts. The Buffs will need Spruce to make the game respectable.
Samajie Grant - FD 5600 DK 3900
Grant is one of my favorite punt options for the late slate. Zona runs an uptempo allowing ample opportunity for Grant to pay this price. Zona is littered with big receivers, but Grant is not one of them. What he is though is speedy. Grant has the shiftiness to work in tight spaces and break big plays. With so many options it's hard to imagine he crushes this price, but at 3900 it won't be hard to pay off.
Texas A&M & PSU WR's
Lewis & Hamilton from PSU are easier guys to peg since they dominate the targets. They should both have decent days tormenting Rutgers secondary. Hill spreads the ball around and A&M has multiple options. Kennedy is the #1, but kind of pricy. Seals-Jones has scored in each game and provides nice value at a much better price than Kennedy. Speedy Noil is in the picture as well.
Tight Ends
David Morgan II - FD 3500 DK 3100
Gosh I just love the TE position. Morgan is the man with plan in hand -- He was recommended last week and delivered 19pts (DK). Im drinking from the well until it runs dry.
