DFSR has partnered with ScoreStreak: a new, innovative style of DFS play. Gone is the salary finagling, mixing and matching, and hair-pulling that goes into setting lineups. ScoreStreak simplifies the process in an easy-to-use interface. Employing a prop-pick style, ScoresStreak leagues are specific outcome dependent with three categories: Total Bases, Hits, and for pitchers, Strikeouts.
New users who deposit through DFSR will get an extra $10 to play with. We are putting in picks every night and giving you some of our top plays each day. Two are on us, the third is all you. Or go your own way.
As always, if you are new to daily fantasy baseball, make sure read our Free Baseball e-book. It contains one mistake that basically everyone in the daily fantasy baseball industry is making!

Jose Abreu
Our system hates Colby Lewis. That’s great news for those wanting to play the Pale-hose today. (Is that how you spell Pale-hose? It looks weird to me.) Lewis’s tendencies toward allowing monster, moonshot homeruns is part of the reason for this pick today. The other is that our system loves Abreu today without even knowing about his success against righty pitching this season. He’s crushed it in his first look at major league pitching. And even with the unsustainable Hr/FB% he’s still a solid play today when you factor for Lewis and U.S. Cellular.
Nelson Cruz
Oh does he ever pound lefties. Oh does he ever. Cruz is rocking very close to a 1.000 OPS on that side of the split this season and his 172 wRC+ only backs up his career averages. Mark Buehrle pitches to enough contact that in the Rogers Centre he’s could be in real trouble from the likes of Cruz. Toronto plays well to power and Cruz is sitting on the great side of his platoon split.
Starlin Castro
Need to have a little Coors exposure today at least. Or a lot of it? I want to spread the wealth a little in ScoreStreak today simply because there are so many great matchups that it’s hard to hone in on just one juicy winner. They all seem like winners. Castro is one of those guys and he’s facing Brett Anderson who strikes out only six batters per nine this season. We’ll take that in this ballpark with Castro’s batted ball profile.
Alex Rios
Want to pick on John Danks today and this is a place to do it. Honestly, could have thrown out Adrian Beltre (and any number of other guys as this it’s a hitter’s paradise going across nearly the entire league today. But Rios will have to do against crappy Danks who struggles to induce strikeouts and allows a fair amount of contact. Rios is significantly better against lefty pitching and this is a great matchups considering the opponent and ballpark.
Felix Hernandez
If you were ever going to fade Kershaw in this format, today’s the day to make it happen. Clayton faces the Angels who rank second in the league against lefty pitching and are damn tough to strike out. King Felix doesn’t have such issues. He’s in a great matchup against the Braves who rank near the bottom of the league against lefties and strike out in bunches. Felix be Felix and his insane peripherals allow him go late in games. The ballpark helps and I’m all over this play today.
Gio Gonzalez
Faces the Mets who strike out close to 25% of the time against lefties. That’s an embarrassing rate and I’m playing lefties against this Metropolitans whenever the chances arises. Today it’s Gio who’s been solid lately and should have a chance to really rack up some numbers. Hopefully those numbers don’t include walks which can be a problem for the guy.
