DFSR has partnered with ScoreStreak: a new, innovative style of DFS play. Gone is the salary finagling, mixing and matching, and hair-pulling that goes into setting lineups. ScoreStreak simplifies the process in an easy-to-use interface. Employing a prop-pick style, ScoresStreak leagues are specific outcome dependent with three categories: Total Bases, Hits, and for pitchers, Strikeouts.
New users who deposit through DFSR will get an extra $10 to play with. We are putting in picks every night and giving you some of our top plays each day. Two are on us, the third is all you. Or go your own way.
As always, if you are new to daily fantasy baseball, make sure read our Free Baseball e-book. It contains one mistake that basically everyone in the daily fantasy baseball industry is making!

And give ScoreStreak a try. You'll like it as much as we do.
Miguel Cabrera
Like I've said before, could probably pick him everyday and you'd be super bored pretty quickly. But facing the lefty Brad Mills has me wanting to place him in the highest total bases slot and not really think about it at all. Cabrera, like the Tigers in general, have struggled against lefties this season. But I see no reason to think this is anything more than a blip on the radar. They are simply too righty-heavy in the lineup and Miggy's platoon splits in this regard should begin to regress over the course of the season.
Kole Calhoun
There are a lot of solid total base options today (Werth, Zimmerman, Papi, C. Davis come to mind) but I'll go a little off board here with Calhoun. Like Aybar below, Scott Carroll as an opponent is a guy to target and Calhoun's had a great start to the season. His OPS is over .800 and he's better against righties with a 144 wRC+. You might be the only person in your ScoreStreak league playing this guy which provides some nice separation, a concept you'll want to adhere to at times in this format.
Erick Aybar
What I love about Aybar in terms of total hits is that he has such a high contact rate, really limiting both the K's and BB's. That's great news for this hits slot as Scott Carroll doubles down on this good news by limiting the K's. Carroll, to use an industry term, sucks. The only thing that tempers me a little is Aybar's place in the order as he stands to take less ABs over the long term. That might not be crucial on a day-to-day basis, but is worth considering.
Ian Kinsler
This is a splits thing as Kinsler is significantly better against lefties over the course of his career. Those numbers have been reversed this season (much to the chagrin of my wallet), but I'm willing to buy on the larger sample size. Brad Mills is a below average pitcher who actually walks a few more guys than I want to see in a play against my total hits guy. But I'm still buying on Kinsler.
Stephen Strasburg
No surprise here with one of the best (the best?) arms going against a Colorado team whose numbers look much worse on the road than in the friendly confines of Coors. They strike out 22% of the time on the road and Stras K's almost eleven batters per nine and is much better at home. I think I would roll him over Price who's going in Yankee Stadium. Strasburg is such a stud with a 2.61 xFIP. Not recommneding a fade here today at all.
Mike Minor
You'll probably go Price in another slot but consider Mike Minor in there somewhere. He strikes out almost a batter an inning and lowly Mets go down swinging almost a quarter of the time. Minor's xFIP numbers are reason to be bullish on him going forward as he's had a little bad luck since coming back from injury. Should be able to reach at least six K's today.
