Kyrie Irving - FanDuel $8,600 DraftKings $7,800 DraftStreet $16,326
Kyrie is back. In a big way. Dude dropped 44 the other night on Charlotte and gets the Pistons who are well below average against point guards. Irving is from my neck of the woods and I'm always rooting for him. That isn't a DFS thing, just more we are getting towards the end of the season and when a guy looks like an insane value AND you like him, why the fuck not right?
John Wall - FanDuel $8,100 DraftKings $8,600 DraftStreet $15,582
Wall has been merely meh lately, which is fine by us because it brings his price tag into a range we can grab for value. Charlotte allows about 5% more scoring than league average to opposing point guards and Wall appears better at home. Very nice value across the board.
D.J. Augustin - FanDuel $6,100 DraftKings $6,000 DraftStreet $11,188
I'm also thinking Hinrich in this spot but am more enticed by DJ. He's better in the open floor and has more a chance to exploit a T-Wolve team that struggles with point guards, especially ones who can create. Hinrich is more a "by-the-books" guy. And while DJ isn't Pistol Pete, he stands more a chance to reach value at these prices.
Kyle Lowry - DraftStreet $10,589
For sure seems like a mistake right? I get that he's coming back from injury and might not even play tonight. DraftStreet doesn't typically price correct on injury. For Lowry they have and I'm think it was an intern hitting the wrong button or something.
Aaron Brooks - FanDuel $5,800 DraftKings $5,300 DraftStreet $11,543
Will draw the start for Lawson and has crushed in this role before. But he isn't a sure thing. Stands to reason he sees value at these prices, but sites have corrected some for his new role. He's feast or famine.
Rodney Stuckey - FanDuel $4,400 DraftKings $4,600 DraftStreet $8,172
Grabbed the start for Smoove last night and was huge, going 29/4/4 (chipped in 8 turnovers as well). Stuckey was put on the court to score. That's what he's good at, and all he really wants to do.
DeMar DeRozan - FanDuel $8,000 DraftKings $8,000 DraftStreet $14,497 and
Terrence Ross - FanDuel $4,400 DraftKings $4,100 DraftStreet $8,088
Man I wish this game was in Philly, so I felt better about any potential blowout. The Raptors should have no issue with this game. But these guys should also be able to hit value even in a limited run. If it turns into a blowout I think it's on the backs of these guys, especially with lingering issue to Lowry and Amir. And yeah, Philly.
Wesley Matthews - FanDuel $5,400 DraftKings $5,600 DraftStreet $9,879
A big reason Matthews is tops on this list is because Sacramento is so truly bad against shooting guards. Their stats probably began to normalize a bit last night only because the Thunder don't really have an shooting guards (Durant is enough for SF and SG combined). But the Kings have been horrific. Matthews should see plenty of looks early.
Chandler Parsons - FanDuel $7,000 DraftKings $7,400 DraftStreet $14,061
Still loving Parsons while Dwight sits. The scoring opportunities get passed down to him, Harden and Jones and this should be a wide open game against the Nuggets. Denver is a shell of their former team, ravaged by injuries. But they are at home and might be able to keep it closer in the mountain air. I played ball at the local Y while living in Colorado one winter. So no one knows better than me about what it's like to play in high altitudes. (Tweet me any questions about this experience. I'll give my expert analysis). Anyway, Parsons should pay because I think the game stays close enough.
Mike Dunleavy - FanDuel $5,100 DraftKings $4,900 DraftStreet $8,679
As you can see from the point guard recs, I like targeting guys from slow teams when they play teams that kick the pace up a notch or two. This is where Dunleavy's bump comes from. His minutes are there and the T-Wolves don't defend around the perimeter really at all. I like Mike D for a couple extra three pointers tonight. That's all he'll need to exceed value tonight.
Kyle Singler - FanDuel $4,500 DraftKings $4,200 DraftStreet $7,961
Sucked last night without Smoove. Thought he would see a modest bump but it all went to Stuckey. I'm not back off Singler though because he still played his full compliment of minutes. Especially on DraftStreet his prices are advantageous if he's locked into the court time.
Kenneth Faried - FanDuel $8,000 DraftKings $7,600 DraftStreet $15,823
Terrence Jones can score. Terrence Jones doesn't play defense. Dwight Howard won't be around (though Asik is a good defender). Faried has been a manimal lately. All of these are reasons I'll be running Sir Kenneth tomorrow. Love his style of game for this matchup with the Rockets. He's one of the more exciting guys to watch with his style and it will translate in this game. Oh you want stats? Rockets allow 7% more scoring and 9% more rebounding than league average to opposing power forwards.
Terrence Jones - FanDuel $5,900 DraftKings $4,700 DraftStreet $12,532
Enjoying not being injured and not having Dwight around. Was on a different level last night. And I know it's the Lakers and all, but really. Jones went ballistic, and that isn't a one off. He has this potential.
David West - FanDuel $6,700 DraftKings $6,500 DraftStreet $12,939
Pacers have been awful lately. West has been good. I'm not saying that Pacer success is inversely proportional to West's output, but maybe there's something there. But don't tell Frank Vogel that! Keep it hush hush. We need David paying these salaries against a Bucks team that blows. He should feast down low, especially with Roy Hibbert basically calling it a career (that guy was a fucking All Star!).
Amir Johnson - DraftStreet $7,940
Only running this one if he comes back from injury (duh) and is starting (duh).*
*Professional use of "duh". Take notes.
Jonas Valanciunas - FanDuel $5,800 DraftKings $6,100 DraftStreet $13,115
Doubt he really wants Amir to come back. If pressed, he might say something to the contrary, but deep down inside we all know the truth. His name is Jonas and he wants Amir gone. Last two games without another legit big down low, Jonas has averaged 20/11 and now gets the Sixers. Will be a popular start because of the matchup.
Omer Asik - FanDuel $5,800 DraftKings $6,600 DraftStreet $14,716
Still no Dwight? I think you can still consider Omer even with the price climbing. Getting close to the breaking point on DraftStreet and DraftKings, but FanDuel is still completely reasonable if he's the lone Rocket big.
Spencer Hawes - FanDuel $6,200 DraftKings $7,000 DraftStreet $11,735
Take a flyer time. System likes him tonight against Detroit (can also make a case for Drummond) but I'll take some tasty upside with Spencer. Drummond won't be able to follow him around the perimeter and Detroit is bad against opposing centers.
