Gander RV 400 Dover International Speedway - Dover, DE Track - One Mile Oval 24° of Banking After Chase Elliott picked up his, Hendrick Motorsports, and Chevrolet's first win of the season, the Monster Energy Cup Series heads to the Monster Mile for the Gander RV 400 on Sunday afternoon. Dover is a one-mile track but length is where the comparisons end in terms of other one-mile tracks in New Hampshire and Phoenix which are both flat tracks. With it being such a unique track, I will not be looking at track type this week but rather putting more weight on current track history, form, and a mix of practice/qualifying data. Speaking of qualifying, there will be no more chaos on pit road or drafting as NASCAR this week that is will be going back to single-car qualifying at all tracks except the road courses. That is big for the fantasy game as the fastest cars will more consistently be starting near the front with less place differential values on a weekly basis. This week more than any other should show us that as Dover has one of the highest correlations between starting and finishing position. From a strategy standpoint, dominator points are at the top of my list on DraftKings as we have seen at least one driver lead 100 or more laps in each of the last six races, four times with two drivers leading 100+ laps. On FanDuel, I will be focusing more on finishing position. Last Six Winners at Dover Chase Elliott(started 9th, led 11 laps) Kevin Harvick(started 2nd, led 201 laps) Kyle Busch(started 2nd, led 30 laps) Jimmie Johnson(started 14th, led 7 laps) Martin Truex Jr.(started 2nd, led 187 laps) Matt Kenseth(started 10th, led 48 laps) Track History at Dover Chase Elliott, coming off a win last week at Talladega, now returns to Dover where he has an elite 4.3 career average finish, his best at any track. He won the playoff race here last October and has...

What a finish at the Daytona 500. Closest in history. If you missed it check out the recap below. The Joe Gibbs Racing team dominated the race at Daytona as Hamlin led 95 laps, Kenseth led 40 laps and Busch led 19 laps. They captured 1st, 3rd, and 5th and 14th(Kenseth was in 1st on final lap until Hamlin made his move). The favorite and most owned driver, Dale Earnhardt Jr. spun and ended up finishing back in 36th. Overall it was another terrific start to the NASCAR season and giving the series momentum as we head in to next week. The NASCAR haulers will now make their way North to Atlanta Motor Speedway for the Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500 this Sunday. The track is a 1.54 Mile Quad_Oval intermediate track. These intermediate tracks make up close to half the tracks in the 36 race season so we have plenty of data to help us pick out favorites. There is, however a wrinkle in the research this time around. NASCAR has fully implemented a new rules package for the 2016 season. Check out the terrific overview from NASCAR.com. This rules package was tested twice last year at Kentucky and Darlington and it was an overwhelming success. The reduction in the rear spoiler really helped reduce rear down force and produce more passing throughout the races. Although it was a small sample size we did notice a trend in those two races. Joe Gibbs Racing was, by far, the most dominant of the teams. The Kentucky races seen Kyle Busch dominate leading 163 laps en route to the win. His teammates Carl Edwards, Matt Kenseth, and Denny Hamlin all...

Federated Auto Parts 400 Richmond International Raceway - Richmond, VA Track Type/Length - .75 Mile D Shaped Oval Short Track The Bojangles Southern 500 had a record breaking 18 cautions and ended being the longest race of the year. This was good thing for those who enjoyed the throwback paint schemes. Carl Edwards got over losing laps early in the race as he stayed out on older tires. His pit crew was on fire during the race and got him out of the pits in first on the final stop with 8 laps to go. He didn't look back as he took the checkered flag and his second win of the season. The downforce package and tire package used at Darlington lead to some old school racing which most of the drivers loved. NASCAR will go back to the regular 2015 package for the Chase playoffs. This week NASCAR heads to Richmond for the final race before the Chase for the Sprint Cup Playoffs. There are 11 drivers who have wins in 2015 and are locked into the Chase. Sitting in 12th - 16th in the standings are McMurray(12th-726 pts), Newman(13th-714 pts), Gordon(14th-700 pts), Menard(15th-692 pts) and Bowyer(16th-682 pts). Aric Almirola sits in 17th place in the standing, 29 points behind Bowyer. It would take some bad luck from Bowyer or Menard and a tremendous finish from Almirola for him to overtake 16th in the Chase Grid. There is a possibility of a driver outside the Chase Grid making it into the playoffs by winning this final race at Richmond. This scenario looks to be a long shot as Richmond is a tough track and none of the drivers outside of 16th have had a lot of success here. Come Saturday night though, none of those drivers care what happened in the past. They are only trying to get the win and into the playoffs. This should make for an exciting race. Here are my picks. Upper Tier Targets Kevin Harvick DraftKings - $11,400 Fantasy Feud - $265,000 Vegas Odds - 5.5/1 Sprint Cup Standings – 1st Practice #1 -...
