Click Here to Purchase Lineups and Cheatsheet Quarterback Malik Zaire Making his first home start last week against the Longhorns Zaire was everything, but disappointing. Coming into the year the CFB landscape was well aware of his athleticism and ability to escape the pocket when things break down, but his ability as a passer was still, in some ways, up in the air. Well, how does 19 of 22 for 313 and 3 sound? Pretty dang gone good. Texas is certainly rebuilding, but an 86% completion rate is great no matter the level of competition. Zaire also didn’t dink and dunk his way to an efficient line as he averaged 14 yards per pass attempt. Next up for the Irish is Virginia, who is fresh off getting shredded by UCLA’s super frosh Josh Rosen. Malik offers solid value with a reasonable floor as the 4th most expensive QB, but his price isn’t so high where he will hamper your remaining lineup. After Zaire it gets a little sticky in terms of value so playing it safe with Zaire is certainly a recommended cash play. Zaire should have little difficulty picking apart the Cavalier’s defense and should continue his streak of multi-touchdown games. Lamar Jackson If your tolerance for risk is strong Jackson could be the play of the day. Coming on in relief last week for Reggie Bonnafon, Jackson went 9 for 20 with 0 touchdowns and 1 pick. That’s hardly a ringing endorsement, but the value with Jackson is wrapped up in his ability to make plays with his feet. As a freshman Jackson has much to work on as a passer, but his freakish athletic talent is quite apparent. Louisville will likely deploy a heavy ground attack with a young passer and less than stellar talent at the wide receiver position. But rest assured, the ground game will heavily involve Jackson. While Jackson may struggle to pass the ball, that only means the inexperienced signal caller will rely more on his feet. At $5800...

Outback Bowl - Wisconsin vs. Auburn Game Preview Happy New Year folks and glad we’re kicking off 2015 with some college football action. At high noon we got the Badgers tangling with the Tigers. This is an amazing slate of games today and we’re starting off with some of the best players in the country. Heisman candidates, Nick Marshall from Auburn and Melvin Gordon from Wisconsin, will surely steal the headlines in this one. Gordon broke the NCAA single game rushing record (406 L. Tomlinson 11/20/99) that stood for 15 years and he did it just 3 quarters of play with 408 yards. One week later Samaje Perine from Oklahoma ran for 427 yards. You think Gordon wants that 4th quarter back? Auburn is pretty good at stopping the run, but stopping the run and stopping Gordon can be two totally different things. Wisconsin is also good at stopping the run, but stopping Auburn’s ground game is also different. Marshall is a very dangerous duel threat quarterback and if the Badgers leave gaps Marshall will find them. Cameron Artis-Payne is no slouch by his own rights and although Wisconsin is strong upfront he should still be somewhat effective. If you like teams that run the ball then you will want to watch this one. Players to Watch (AUB) Nick Marshall, Cameron Artis-Payne, Sammie Coates (WISC) Melvin Gordon Fantasy Analysis As good as Gordon is I think you can make a strong argument to fade him here. Auburn isn’t exactly a stone wall, but they are kind of tough against the run. Gordon will get his, but it likely won’t be near what he needs to hit value. This isn’t a case of Gordon...

Miami Beach Bowl – BYU vs. Memphis Game Preview: There’s no better cure for a bad case of the Monday’s than an early afternoon bowl game. Plan your half days now because football starts at 2pm when BYU takes on Memphis in the Miami Beach Bowl. This game would have been much more fun to watch had Tayson Hill not been lost for the season. BYU lost four straight before finishing the year with four consecutive wins. Christian Stewart has filled in nicely for Hill, but he is not the same kind of playmaker/rushing threat. BYU also lost Jamaal Williams at running back. Nevertheless the Cougars are a tough team and especially upfront on defensive side of the ball, as they rank 14th against the run. Memphis, on the other hand, will look to exploit the Cougars 104th ranked passing defense and they are certainly capable. The Tigers are led by sophomore quarterback, Paxton Lynch. Lynch had a strong year for the Tigers leading them to a 9-3 record (7-1 AAC). The Tigers play good team football and are very balanced. They run a balanced offense and rank 52 overall, which goes along with their 21st ranked defense. The Tigers are little underrated and I think they are going to give BYU everything it can handle. Players to Watch: (BYU) Christian Stewart, Paul Lasike, Jordan Leslie, Mitch Mathews (Mem) Paxton Lynch, Brandon Hayes Fantasy Analysis: Paxton Lynch is truly the catalyst of the Tiger offense and he should be able to finish strong against a very suspect pass defense. I don’t like the tag on Hayes facing such a strong run defense and will likely look elsewhere in cash games. As much as I like Lynch to have a strong game it doesn’t...

This service is separate from our NFL projection system. Quarterbacks Cody Fajardo - FD 9000 DK 8900 Grant Hedrick - FD 9000 DK 9100 These are my two favorite top end plays and pairing one of them with Chandler you still have enough firepower to land some big time players. Both quarterbacks are primarily pocket passers, but they also possess the ability make plays with their feet (something I love). They both have favorable matchups, but Nevada gets to play at home. I think Hedrick has a bit more upside mainly because Boise has a more explosive offense when things are clicking. Hedrick also has a guy a by the name of Ajayi who has been known to score multiple touchdowns per game. While it’s good because he keeps the defense honest and off balance, it also cuts into the scoring potential of Hedrick. Fajardo has decent skilled position players as well, but nothing like Jay Ajayi. Therefore Fajardo probably offers a bit more safety for cash games as his performances tend to be more even lined. Fajardo also has an edge in the rushing game. While they have basically the same number of carries (Fajardo 129& Hedrick 120), Fajardo has a 228 yard edge along with four more rushing TD’s (10 to 6). He comes cheaper ($200) and plays at home. Im playing both, but I prefer Fajardo for cash games and either one, edge Hedrick, for GPP format. Chandler Whitmer - FD...

As the season nears an end, there are seemingly fewer slam dunk plays. The pricing has corrected itself (for the most part) and/or the matchups are difficult, not to mention we are entering rivalry week(s). I’m leaning Mariota for a few reasons. One, the price on Draftkings is 1k less and that can make a big difference. I get it, Barrett has been lights out, putting up numbers in the mid 40's, while Mariota has been putting up numbers in the mid to upper 30's. If both guys delivered their top-end performance then I would say the extra 1k for Barrett is well worth it. I typically look for about 4x price so an extra 7+ points for only 1k more in salary is solid value. Two, Mariota is the more consistent of the two. It’s almost like clockwork that Mariota finishes between 35 and 40 fantasy points. I’ll take the consistency and the higher floor in cash games. Third, I LOVE Royce Freeman and stacking them together puts you in a great position to capture most of the touchdwons on a team that scores in buckets. On Fanduel I view them as equal with maybe even Barrett getting the slight edge. Justin Holman - FD 7100 DK 5700 Speaking of value, Holman offers one of the best values in the middle price range. Holman and UCF don’t strike me as an elite offense...
